I'm all for tradition.

 

But I'd be open to the idea of 5 on 5 for the first overtime period.   4 on 4 for the second overtime period.  And, if necessary, 3 on 3 for any remaining overtime periods.

I'd like to see that implemented in the regular season (5-on-5 five minutes, 4-on-4 five minutes, 3-on-3 five minutes and then shootout).

 

Keep it as it is in the playoffs.

I wish we had taken out Bostons goalie like this back in 2011. Seems like a good strategy.
