Stars have a damn strong defence and enough toughness to intimidate the cowards on Calgary's top line.  Take out the turtle and the midget, and you'll expose the Flamers as the frauds that they are.  Stars in 6.

I'm not entirely certain if the Flames will continue to perform as well in the playoffs. However, the Stars are simply not very good. Hard to see them putting up much of a fight here. Hope I'm wrong though.

Flames are 3rd in GAA, so not a slouch on their defensive side either especially considering who their coach is.

I expected the Stars to be better at the beginning of the year. In the end I was surprised they made it. 

 

They don play fast when I watch them.  Get some clutch plays from Pavelski & Heiskanen.  Robertson their most exciting player, there is that?

 

 

The Flames play very fast & have better goal tending, match ups for now lumbering ex MVP Jamie Benn. And of course we shoulda drafted Tkachuk. He is one of those match ups. Gaudreau looks fantastic! They have storm troops, team speed & size.

This is the first time in a long time the Flames have a good goalie for the playoffs.

 

I want to pick against Calgary, as I still don't trust their star players and think Marky is only going to be decent, but the Stars aren't that great and don't have the goalie to steal it.

So I like Dallas but I'm probably cheering for Calgary? I don't know yet. I'm a little conflicted with this one and probably won't be upset no matter the outcome. lol

Definitely cheering against the Flames.  Hoping Marky has one of his stretches where he plays like Cloutier.  

We need first round losses by the Lames, the Coilers, and the LOSER LEAFS.  Then who friggin’ cares the Cup winner after that.  Just so long as a Canadian doesn’t, that’s not us.

As much I hate it, the Flames gonna steam roll Dallas that got dragged into the playoffs kicking and screaming.

Dallas has been disappointing when watching them, it's surprising they managed to get in. Their top line of Robertson-Hintz-Pavelski has been great, but I don't trust the rest of the team.

 

Flames lost the last time they were division champs, and lost to Dallas last time they met. But I think Calgary is still too deep for Dallas to handle.

Last chance for the Flames to do something before their cap gets destroyed and they have to gut depth.

 

So hopefully they fizzle out early. They couldn’t have gotten an easier first round opponent though.

If the stars can't beat us in regular season there's no way they're gonna beat the Lames.

 

They might snatch a consolation game if they get some goaltending.
