It'd be interesting I'll give you that, I'm curious as to what kind of mix management wants in our top six

Forsberg      Pettersson      Boeser

Podkolzin     Horvat            Kuzmenko

Pearson        Roy                Kessel

Deslauriers   Lammikko      Highmore

Hughes      Manson

Hague        Marino

Rathbone   Schenn

Demko   Martin

That’s a Stanley Cup contender. One can dream. If JR can pull all that off he would be a legend in Vancouver.

You don't think Filip wants to play with Petey, it's his dream...  :)

I think it'd be fun, but I think he's likely encouraged by the season they had, 0-4 or not

Avs are a juggernaut, there's no way he didn't know they were in tough

Nashville's core are all 30+ except for Forsberg.  The Canucks core are mostly in their early to mid 20's.  If he's going to commit for 7-8 years to try and win a Cup he may be looking at his options...

Maybe, we shall see

They can certainly afford to pay him

Almost 28 year old UFA on pace for 100 points. 84 points in 69 games. 42 goals.

He pretty much had a Miller-like season but is gonna be a 27 turning 28(August Birthday) year old UFA instead of a 30 year old one. Almost primetime UFA age(would say 26/27 is primetime UFA age), buddy will get PAID.

Signing Forsberg would be near similar to signing Miller even though a couple years younger as UFA.

Not sure we could sign him barring major cap clearage from our part moving forward. Parting with more than just Miller. Is a nice thought from a fantasy hockey sense though(assets from Miller trade and other trades and cap to sign Forsberg + more). We'd be in a killer position.

Yes if we can get Forsberg for free as a UFA as well as Kuzmenko then we could trade Miller to get additional assets as well as Myers and Garland. Also allows us to re-sign Boeser long term.

Forsberg can play with Petey on the top line and BO is our 2C. Balances the lines out a lot better and we can pick up a 3C and some RHD in the Miller and Garland trades.

Yup, I think Forsberg's contract will be bigger than Miller's in terms of total dollars involved.  Some team will give him $60M+.  I still believe Miller will be around $55M max.

I’m okay with 9x7 for Forsberg. As long as Miller and Garland armed traded we should be okay. If somehow JR can move OEL then we really shouldn’t have any cap issues long term.

Forsberg will be a 50 goal scorer playing with Petey. He will be worth every penny and is only turning 28 this year. Lots of prime years left for him and he and Petey can play together for the next 7 years.

Decent chance it will be. He’s a couple years younger as UFA.  Same level of player IMO but more of a goal scorer. 40 goal season right before UFA too.

I would trade Boeser over Garland unless we can get a considerably better return for Garland. Just to save some cap.

We trade Miller and one of Boeser/Garland we can probably get a long-term D or two amongst other important things.

He’s a bit better in terms of age being a 28 UFA and that we only can max 7 years than Miller who can get 8 years and will be a 30 year old UFA. So yeah the two extra prime years are nice. 35 expiry age compared to 38 if given max year contracts.

It would definitely be a more of an ideal trade Miller scenario as we probably wouldn’t take any steps back and be better positioned for long-term contention.

But it is a borderline fantasy almost.

Don’t think moving OEL out and signing another forward is a step forward for us as nice as it would be to have Forsberg here.
