I've been saying this for awhile....these guys have gone through hell and back together and that creates bonds that can translate on ice, not just off. 

 

As JT said" familiar". That matters because you start to know what the other guys will do...where they'll be on the ice. How they think. "Chemistry".

 

I'd hate to start messing with that too much. We've seen what they are building and it's a matter of allowing it to continue. Bruce has been huge and having him here is also really important in this.

Anyone who's been constantly taking runs at Brock needs to remember that...these ARE human beings. Even IF they're not producing at a level we'd like, take it easy/ier on them...we don't know what others are going through behind the scenes.

 

I feel for Brock...watching a loved one slip away (mentally) is the most difficult thing ever. Especially when you DO still have to function and show up for work.

 

May there be lessons learned here....

Holy crap!  Huggy Bear is super competitive!  For him it is all about winning.  He pretty much said it’s his fault the team missed the playoffs because he didn’t score in OT when he should have.  Love hearing that.  Just win.

And just remember the whole Corky Hirsch insider scoop garbage that got a few here on CDC going on about how broken the room was. Most targeting JT.

 

For anyone with eyes, this crew plays for each other and cares. Once BB took over and exclamation mark was put on that.

I was just going to say. I think most will say we wanted a better Brock this year but there’s one guy in particular on these boards that just jerks my chain. These are human beings. I feel for Brock and I hope he and his family can find peace in such a devastating situation.

Not bringing Bruce back for this group would be a HUGE mistake.  We need to keep this group together.  

Miller, Bo, Bess need extensions done.  Don’t trade any of our extended core.  Touch the fringes, like with the Hamonic trade.  Nothing more.

What it means to the team, the fans, and the city. A monument right up there next to the unknown soldier. A tribute to give hope to all Canadians, and indeed man kind everywhere!
