Koulias said we would definitely have to add a pick + B level prospect and possibly take back another player for cap purposes, but it could work. VAN: BB6, Hoglander ($892K/2023), 1st (15th & keep 1st from Millsy trade) MIN: Fiala, Greenway ($3mil hit /2025) or Foligno ($3.1mil hit/2024) Who knows what Fiala and Brock are going to get on their next deal, but I think Fiala's contract will be heavier by at least a mil. Fiala provides skill and goals as a top-6 while Greener or Foligno add the grit that JR is looking for in the bottom-6. Also gives MIN two dependable and cheaper top-6 wingers and a pick. There is no way that the Wild break up their GREEF line. They are a key part of their success and signed to efficient deals. Also trading other players that open up cap space and then not signing him is simply not logical. The Wild think they have something special with their group. Russo has repeated to no end that the Wild will want futures in a Fiala trade. Just above Marek and Friedman talk about how the deal will be a whopper with the Wild taking close to no cap back. With Guerin confirming that he wants to go with a Talbot-Fleury tandem next season, they have even less cap space. Every indication is that they will simply promote Rossi into Fiala's spot. There's no reason for them to touch the rest of their lineup. Edited May 17, 2022 by mll
