I really really hate to say it but Flames are missing what Tanev brings and man would he be a great asset to still have with the Nucks

As long neither team wins the next round, I'm good.

Definitely worth more than Cale Makar

He was signed based on 16-20-36 +27 in 56 games in 20-21.  It's a damn good year but it's his best year to date at 0.64 ppg, the next best was 2 years prior at 0.5 ppg.  $9.25 x 8 years is obviously wishful thinking.

In contrast, Hughes at 0.73 & 0.89 the last 2 seasons at $7.85 aav.... makes Nurse's salary look somewhat foolish

Makar 1.0 & 1.12 ppg at $9.0 the last 2 years

How did he get nominated for the Vezina this year is what I’m wondering.  He looks lost

Maybe the NHL awards should be based on the playoffs performance as well? Big difference between regular season performance and playoffs performance.

Tanev is in a hospital somewhere,  I thought that was the usual thing ?

comes with his own ambulance now though.

McDavid vs Bure. Who is quicker with the puck?

Different eras.

McDavid on the length of the ice.

Bure from the blue line in. He was sniper and magician on the attack.

Sad part when you saw him playing for Russia, he found a better gear, and was more of a complete player. Love of country I guess.

I don’t know about you guys but In all the years Markstrom we here there were only two years that I didn’t cringe when he was in net.  2 pretty good years,

he seems to degrade when he’s played a lot.  He had a pretty good year this year ( obviously) but the team in front of him was dynamite all year.

A case can be made for the D man cutting the angle, and the goalie challenging the play outside of the crease, Markstrom did, and made the save.  He only moved across the crease because he thought McD still had possession.

McD barely touched him, and tried to avoid the contact.

The contact that happened did not drive the goalie 4 feet out of the play.

either way I find the reffereeing and calls by Kozari to be lame.

Not sure about that but I don't have access to a replay.

That's a pretty big crash on Smith by Coleman at the other end.  No doubt about that one
