All three are deserving. The twins were wizards on the ice and definitely changed the game, even if only a little. What puts them over the top is their impact on the hockey community.

Luongo is in a list of some of the greatest goaltenders of all-time, so he's a no-brainer, just for his on-ice play.

Theres a clause in Luongo's contract where the Canucks have to pay him 3 mil for the next 3 season if he makes it in the HOF on the first attempt

Hey don’t even joke about that! The NHL will make it happen somehow.

A co-worker just brought this up, and I gotta admit, it stings a bit...

How many NHL teams had not 1, or 2, but 3 future HHOFers in their prime on the team, and not win a Stanley Cup?

Luongo just needed ONE HHOF type performance in those games he stunk and that would not be an issue.:)

The 2016 Sharks had Thornton and Marleau, both of whom will be first ballot guys. Burns and Pavelski will probably both have a decent shot at making it, though they may be stretches. To your point though, Marleau was still good, but not in his prime and although Thornton was also good, he was starting to get past his prime as well. It is admittedly hard to find a team with so much talent that didn't win.

Taylor, Simmer and Dionne?

Multiple Buffalo teams, must have had a couple of HHOF at the same time.

Taylor and Simmer both aren't in.  Neither are Robert and Martin from Buffalo.  I brought up all four as overlooked when talking about Alfredsson comparables.

Triple Crown Line and the French Connection...possibly the two most famous lines of all time and 2/3 of both aren't in the Hall.

As for Buffalo...it's a team history of guys who should be in and aren't:  Tom Barrasso, Pierre Turgeon, Rick Martin, Rene Robert, Alexander Mogilny.  And that's not thinking about players like Danny Gare, Roger Crozier, etc.
