MeanSeanBean
Strome is interesting from the Rangers stand point, if you know what I mean.

stawns
man, they must be kicking themselves for not making a move for Miller at the tdl. Had they added him, they could very well have won the Cup, or at least got to the finals

Alflives
Why the Bo photo in that report? Would we trade Bo if the return is what JR expects from the Rangers for Miller (but the Rangers will only do for Bo) and then keep Miller?
DownUndaCanuck
Flip Miller to NYR for one of their defencemen + a pick, sign Copp and play him in our top 6 then go and sign a 3C as well. Miller for Schneider + 1st (really under-selling us there, maybe tack on a depth forward Sign Copp 5y x 5.25M Sign Tierney 3y x 2.5M Boeser - Pettersson - Copp Kuzmenko - Horvat - Podkolzin Pearson - Tierney - Garland Highmore - Lammikko - Hoglander Lockwood Hughes - Schneider OEL - Myers Rathbone - Schenn Dermott Deep team, good top talent, due for top 3 in the Pacific
Elias Pettersson
The Rangers do not have a 2C. We have an extra 1C and a 2C. We are the perfect trading partner for the Rangers. Watch how this plays out...
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Lol Larry Brooks, NYR has needs and holes to fill.....NYR should not trade anything of significance to obtain such pieces.
BCNate
I think I prefer Strome to Copp. He has been better for longer and is RH. I'm wary of Copps breakout year his first kick at UFA.
Mustard Tiger
No and no. Copp is solid but the bidding war ect is not something we should be doing right now. Strome seems like the type that will fall on his face shortly after a big deal

Apparently the Rags are looking at trading for Sheifele A much cheaper option than Miller. https://www.nhltraderumor.com/rangers-eyeing-a-mark-scheifele-trade-this-offseason/

He could be a good short term option. However, Miller is a better player at this point of their careers. Do the Rangers want to gamble and trade for the inferior player or do they want to trade for the better player and take their best shot for the Cup?

Probably don't want the long term that will be attached to JT. They have some up-and-coming LW + C talent coming up the ranks. Sheifele might be a good option for short term 2C. The trade won't be as much as Miller either. They should have picked up Miller last year. I think they would have made it to the SC final. Then make a big run for next year's final. BureBurrito
Strome would be a decent 2C (passer/play producer) especially if Miller gets dealt for a top 6/top 4 and a pick Copp would be an excellent but too much price tag as a top 9 (3C)
