One argument though is that he's won 2 cups

He's also struggled immensely without a cup contending team.

Toronto is NOT a cup contending team, considering they have so much trouble exiting out of the first round.

On the plus side Murray has to be a decade younger than their last goalie.

My bad- thought it was Edmonton trying for Murray.  :(

I should be punished.

Preferably by a tall blonde gal; that would also save me some money.

Yeah but the first round exists usually are against teams that make it to the cup finals. So while I know people here like to trash the Leafs besides their exit against Columbus their first round match ups are against some very strong teams.

Plus the team was 4th in the league last season, I'd say that's a very good position to be in.

Their one job for the off-season, with plenty of goalies floating around, and they've blown it. Murray is not the answer but everyone hopes they snag him.

They have the assets, they should have gone for Georgiev. If Gibson is on the market they should over-pay for him.

Ottawa isn't great defensively. When he's on and sharp he's very good. Similar to Binnington but he can't save you himself. He needs good structure and team defense infront of him.
