Popular Post Warhippy
3 years at $1 million per year is an absolutely low risk no loss contract. This signing was telegraphed and he brings some assets we can use. I am less than surprised but also far from concerned from this signing. 3 years. $1 million for a big young but kinda slow 4th liner is about what is needed to shore up the depth of this team so let's keep the whinging to a minimum Edited July 13, 2022 by Warhippy 3 2 2

JM_
Zero risk, brings in a RH4C. Don't see the need to freak out.

Benning would have paid $3 million x 4 years. This is a no risk signing as there is no cap impact if he flames out. He ends up as an Abby veteran presence if he flamed out completely. 2
WEVEGOTMOTTE
You can send him down or trade him without much trouble if he doesn't work out. Interesting to see how he plays with us.

Ilya Mikheyev
On a 3 year term with bury-able AAV, he can be moved between Vancouver and Abby the first two years with very low risk as well. Don't mind it
Baratheon
Cool! Always liked him since he played in the world juniors. One of the best smiles in the game! 650 saying that his cap can be buried in the minors if needed. Can one of the smart people confirm? lol

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Not a fan of forking over term for a fourth line guy. I guess they have their rightt handed centre, but woof that is expensive to commit to a replacement level player.

Chickenspear
3 years, and the entire cap hit can be buried in the minors if he doesn't work out. I don't mind this.
EternalCanuckFan
Should be a good 4th line C. Good value.

DownUndaCanuck
Most obvious signing, not much of an improvement over Lammikko who could still be getting better. I really hope Lazar is for our 4th line and not our 3C solution. He's big, strong and kills penalties but is slow and doesn't score much, but had a good year with Boston and did play big minutes for a bottom 6 guy. Ideally we re-sign Lammikko and play them both on the 4th line.
