They also can no longer decide to just accept their Qualifying Offers. He is coming off a one-year, $1.175-million contract that was signed just weeks before the start of last season. Not his QO, but posted it anyway. After a tough showing in 2020-21, the 23-year-old bounced back nicely, hitting the 20-goal mark for the first time while setting new career bests in assists (21) and points (41) So, Yamamoto at 2.5? Scott Morrow is the blue chipper Carolina needs to make room for eventually in the near future. With their trade for Burns they are locked in their top 4 already.
