SIGNING: The Washington Capitals have signed Zach Bogosian to a 3-year contract.

small.png Zach Bogosian: 3-year contract worth $3.9 million dollars ($1.3m per season)

Very excited to add another veteran piece to our organization. Bogo will start the season on the LTIR and work with our training staff to get him back to a point where he can help us compete.

That's ridiculous

Is it? The player received no other offers in the multiple weeks that free agency has been open. The player is coming off of not one but two injury-riddled seasons where he didn't reach 82 total games played with a total of 35 points across those seasons, so we didn't feel that anybody was going to match his $5.5m IRL deal with the one-year remaining on it. So the player chose a one-year "show me" deal with the defending champs at a middle-six rate to boost his stock for free agency next season. Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

Feel free to DM me if you have any issues with how my agency conducts its business.

I think hes saying it's ridiculous that so many GM's could use the help and none of them had interest in Zucker.

I dont think hes criticizing your job as an agent.

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

had a moment of “dang it, I should’ve put an offer in”

Is there anyone else able to handle ELC’s other than Greensie?

He may be away and I’m looking to solidify lineup and cap before bringing in more assets.

Thanks.

ELCs are pretty guaranteed anyway in terms of getting them done, and a for sure $ value. I'd just say plan as if he already agreed to them

Go to the cba on page one. You will find the ELC threshold chart for contracts. Pretty set in terms of where your guy was drafted and the number he will cone in at.
