Popular Post Ilunga Posted February 20, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted February 20, 2023 (edited) Last year the Redwings made some big moves when I was hired as GM of this Organisation. Some of the players we traded for have not lived up to our expectations and some are still developing their game in the minor leagues. Some of the free agents we signed in the off season last year have also failed to produce at the level we hoped for. What we hoped was going to be a retool on the fly has turned into a full blown rebuild. We have a lot of promising young players especially on defense and at centre. These positions are traditionally harder to fill so we feel that we have the basis for a solid rebuild. With the 2 picks in the first round this, 6 all up, we are very hopeful of adding at least 2 certainties maybe 3. I take full responsibility for missing the playoffs this year however I can assure our fans that a plan is in place to get this franchise, one of the original 6, back up to the top and contending for a CDCGML Cup.
