You watching this game Dvorsky has looked absolutely awful. He's turned it over every time he's touched the puck.

No - but he does indeed seem to be trending down for sure - and if is stinking up the place that badly could bump him down a tier. I'm not 100% sold on him, but not sure there is another C that is a better option right now.

Danielson's a stud. I'd peg him as the next best C after Smith. With several names inbetween.

Agreed Stenberg is looking good though.

I haven't watched any games but how does Stenberg look?  His listed as a forward, so I'm not sure if he projects as a center at the NHL level.  He had a big game vs Canada yesterday.

Lol Hammertime is exaggerating wildly. He's had a hate-on against Dvorsky for a long time. Slovakia as a team is getting picked apart at every turn. Dvorsky can't do everything himself.

You think he's looking good? It's not a hate I just think he's wildly over rated.

Youre right he does look like a guy trying to do it all himself. Oddly enough there are 5 other players on the ice with him.

No need to start with the putting words in people's mouths again. I'm not sure what you were expecting in a game like this though.

I'm not sure what you're saying? There are still things you can assess in a game like this.

Strbak Pekarcik have looked good Cisar, Masnica have also been playing quite well.

I think of Prospects that are likely to be available in our range.

Will Smith - Very very likely to be gone by 11 - but can't pass if he is on board. 1C material every day

Oliver Moore - Kids speed and vision is amazing - would be a perfect pick to replace Miller at #2 C as he ages.

Ryan Leonard - Yeah we don't need ANOTHER winger - but we don't really have one with Leonards skill set - All round hard-nosed player with good skill across the board. Likely NHL ready next year.

Reinbacher / ASP slot in here for me - currently I'm favoring ASP on recent showings.

Dalibor Dvorsky - Another big body C with a good all-round tool box - Lower Ceiling higher floor kinda guy, but worst case I think could fill our 3C hole.

Pass :

Cristall - Lekkerimaki 2.0 I can see him sliding for similar reasons, looks quite one dimensional.

Sale - Another winger with admittedly a very nice toolbox - but I think he carries enough risk to not risk a pick on a position were already loaded on.

Honzek - A lot to like here, and could be a great reach pick, but clearly he's a tier below the other players available in our position. DET likely draft him, their gonna feast with the 2 picks they got from us with some very good players available in those positions. Hopefully Hronek is worth it !

I highlighted all that I agree with.  Although, as much as Sale can be disappointing at times, he's a much better option than Cristall if you're looking for a player with potential to be an elite winger, because he has more to his game than just flash.

Can we maybe get a player with size as well as speed, and skill?

Bedard if the hockey gods smile on us just this once can be the exception.

I've only seen a handful of game clips, but maybe that's why Wood has risen in the rankings?

Still needs to work on his skating and foot speed, but the size is definitely there, and you can see his potential in his stick handling and puck control if he can process the game a little faster.

LOL. Are you forgetting someone?

Yes nice pass from Dvorsky there too. Happened fast. I stand corrected. The play by play guys called Pekarcik to Masnica.

Hardly any point getting into it as nobody is gonna change their mind here. But I thought he's been their best player in the defensive zone all game. Offensively he hasn't been very good but when you consider the context it's nothing surprising or unusual. I've always talked about Dvorsky as a guy who's at his best offensively away from the puck. Now in this situation he's needed by his team to carry the puck and for offense to run through him. Everyone on both teams knows where the play is running through whenever he's on the ice, it's not his primary strength and his offensive support is badly overwhelmed and Sweden knows to focus their defense on him. Not a recipe for success. I know you're more into the flashy players who carry the puck all the time, but both sides of offense are equally important. It's just the Lekkerimaki vs Kemell argument all over again.

Ya I'm just not seeing what youre seeing. He just made that brutal pass that put them offside in the final minute.

Kemell looks pretty good no? PPG in the AHL

I watched an interview with Dvorsky where he was asked what he wanted to work on, and without hesitation mentioned his defensive game.  I think he see's himself as a 200ft defensive minded center with the abiility for some offense at the NHL level.

He was a team worst -19 this season for a bad AIK team in the Allsvensken which could explain his answer.
