Ya I'm just not seeing what youre seeing. He just made that brutal pass that put them offside in the final minute.

Kemell looks pretty good no? PPG in the AHL

Both have had very up and down seasons but both looking outstanding right now.

I watched an interview with Dvorsky where he was asked what he wanted to work on, and without hesitation mentioned his defensive game.  I think he see's himself as a 200ft defensive minded center with the abiility for some offense at the NHL level.

He was a team worst -19 this season for a bad AIK team in the Allsvensken which could explain his answer.

AIK wasn't half bad they lost in the playoffs quarter finals to MODO who made the finals and are tied with Djugardens 1-1 right now.

He's only 17 on a team that averages around 25 years old, and is being used in all situations.

I really like Dvorsky's potential.  Put him on a good team with a clear development path and he'll be a serviceable middle 6 shutdown centerman.

The question now is does Dvorsky playing against older competition trump, say Danielson playing against his peers.  Danielson probably has better offensive potential which could translate to 2nd line potential.  They're both around 6'1" with Dvorsky listed as being around 15 lbs heavier.

I really like Danielson as well, so I don't know where I would stand if it came down to Dvorsky and Danielson as BPA.

His defensive game has always been one of the biggest appeals about him to me. He's a defensive savant at the junior level but has had some struggles with it at the pro game for sure. Nothing surprising from a 17 year old bouncing around from wing to center and in limited minutes, but it sounds like you get all that. Personally I have little doubt it will be considered a strength to his game at the pro level by the end of next season

Well... not sure what you mean by "half bad", but they played the top ranked team in the first round because they were the last place team to make the playoffs (10th out of 14).

Danielson's a stud. I'd peg him as the next best C after Smith. With several names inbetween.

Agreed Stenberg is looking good though.

I haven't watched any of Danielson yet - will check him out for sure. I feel there are still a number of those 10-25 tier players that could massively jump up still.

Which echoes what Mackenzie and Button have been saying as well.  Neither have him as the top D in the draft

But you ain't a hater.

We all got players we like or feel are over rated thats the fun of the draft who knows how these kids turn out we just do our best based on what we see we like who we like.

For me I think Yager and Dvorsky have underwhelmed at least when Ive seen them I can't watch all of their games lol just go on what I see as a hockey fan. Ive been tooting the horn for Bonk Strbak Zeb and Pekarcik for months now when I've seen them they have impressed me well beyond their ranking.

Zeb had an incredible Hilinka and is once again one of the best players on the ice for Sweden at the u18 so far.

They won 2 more games than Mora 3rd ranked team and beat the 7th ranked team Almtuna. So not half bad.

I get what you're trying to say, but it's very misleading. Actually Mora won 11 more games than AIK over the 52 game season, and had a +40 goal differential to AIK's -28.

Shane Malloy had an excellent segment yesterday and touched on Reinbacher and ASP.

He doesn't see either one of them as having top pairing potential and would be surprised if either one of them go top 10 as there's too much scoring potential.

I liked that segment a lot yesterday.

I dint agree 100% with Malloy but I did like his take on Yager being a good mid round guy that will need more patience for him to have the best chance at success.

And I dont fully agree with the Reinbacher / ASP take. I do think they have a chance at going 6-1 Range.

At least I am just higher on Reinbacher I seee aa guy who could be a 2-3 not a 3-4 like he sees. And even then DMEN are hard to project they get them wrong all the time.

But everyone has different opinions once you take Bedard.

It will be a really fun first round draft day for sure.

It's really unfortunate we aren't getting the chance to see the Russians.

Would love to see Michkov, But, Simashev, Gulyayev, Kantserov, Rykov, Yarovoy, Klimovich.

Gonna be some real steals.

In what way am I hater?  Because I disagree with you?  I think it's just a difference in sources.  I trust hockey guys like Mackenzie and Button because they have history, experience and legit ties to many hockey people.  You seem  to lean more toward bloggers.

I don't really lean any way. I use rankings and sites that track stats as a way of identifying players to watch then I watch them and make up my own mind.

So you judge players off of snippets of video then?

I stream and record games with players I'm interested in then watch them when I have time. Check out available shift by shifts on line and whatever else I can dig up.

He was just suspended in the playoffs for a brutal elbow to the head

Yeah I saw every game. His arm was down but the thunderbird was kinda bent down reaching for the puck. Looked to me like he tried to line up a big hit and the guy put himself in a bad spot.

im honestly higher on him now after watching the playoffs. Thought he was just all skill boom or bust but the kids got a bit of a chippy side to him. When the opportunity is there he’ll give it to his opponent. He battles pretty hard out there.

Could be a solid sleeper pick for whoever drafts him

Sounds like someone that should go in the 20s then?
