Luckily I don't think we'll have to be faced with that choice. I do think, however, there's a better chance than people think that Reinbacher will be available though.

Hope youre right.

My point was that Bure_Pavel mentioned that Perrault could be the steal of the draft and you replied saying that 5 of his points came against Norway.

you downplayed his production against a poor opponent and my point was that he has had success all season (breaking Matthew’s record) and one game against Norway doesn’t play a factor in the grand scheme of things and shouldn’t have been part of your argument towards Bure_Pavel

Lots of scouts seem to think the Perrault is more a product of his line mates than the true play driver, which is why he is ranked lower. Few people said the same about Tkachuk tho too bad in the day :/

I agree he could be a great prospect in the range he was projected to go in, like I said in a previous post that Isles pick that is now with DET is gonna get a real good prospect.

For whatever reason Michkov drops.

The Canucks are up next and have to choose between REINBACHER and MICHKOV.

Take the D and run.

Kucherov or Shea Theodore, i think you if you take the D, you dont run...you walk away slowly constantly looking back and thinking to yourself "damn did i eff this up"

Michkov AINEC in my opinion.

Yeah, Michkov in a landslide.

He would be a no-brainer at 3rd overall if it wasn't for the KHL situation. Hell, Michkov over Fantilli I have time for as well. Big centers are a premium though so I get why he's consensus 2nd.

Michkov kind of reminds me of Kuzmenko. The skill is definitely there. Super good hands, an elite shot, high hockey IQ, but he's also not the best skater and sometimes he'll give up on a backcheck, etc. The ceiling would be high though, if the Canucks could eventually get him to BC to train and learn to play the right way. Could take years. They might like that raw talent they can mold into a superstar. Still seems like a risky pick though. I'm not sure he falls outside of the Top 10 (where the Canucks will probably pick), but if he does, then they have to take the chance.

If by some magic the Canucks get into the Top 2, then I hope it's Bedard or Fantilli.

Fantilli should undoubtedly be the pick at 2 if we select there. I don't think Leo Carlsson gets the credit he deserves, but Fantilli vs. Carlsson should be an easy choice.

Nope. Carlsson is our guy at 2.

Actually, Perrault scored 45pts as a 17yr old, while Matthews scored 48pts as a 16yr old.  Matthews

played in Europe in his draft year.

Potato Tomato.

Have a look at Perrault's stats in his 16th year. Really no match to Matthews.  If people want to compare

him to Matthews, that's fine by me. Hopefully he gets picked early and another good player drops down

the pipeline to the Canucks.
