Letting my b/f and his two friends talk me into jumping off a bridge with them.

Hitch hiking to Seattle by myself to see Zeppelin.

Putting a fruit bowl out on the patio table over night once (many years ago).

There are others, but I prefer not to mention them.

selling my first car for only $350. 1976 Toyota Celica GT

sold it in 1990 because it was too small for growing family and we couldn't afford 2 cars.

today it would be worth $5000+

What would it cost to store, maintain, and insure that (even if just storage insurance) for over 30 years?

oh that $5ooo is for a non running version. If in great shape like in the photo, you'd be looking at $25000+

Going with the earlier posts in this thread, if you took that $350 and bought Apple stock with it, you’d still be better off. And none of the expenses to store/maintain/etc.

One of my grandsons friends mentioned bitcoin to me in 2008, it was a dollar a coin. Didnt understand it then and hardly now, but damn a $1000 investment back then would have been worth 16 million when bitcoin  topped out. SIGH

I was nervous about them taking Pettersson in 5th. I wanted Glass or Vilardi - both of which haven't exactly turned out. That was actually the draft that convinced me Benning and company were world-class talent assessors. In the end, he was decent, but some misses too.

I also felt that signing LE and Ferland were both great things for our team.

Putting bottles of kombucha on top of the grocery basket after getting everything else... One rolled off and splattered all over the ground.  People around me where not happy.. Note to self - get kombucha first, not last.

When I was younger I thought a topless coffee shop was just the greatest idea in the world. I was sure it was going to make me rich.

RIP 'Tiddies and Cream' you were the dream that never was.

Right up there, with Kramerica.

have you made suggestions that were down right awful?

after pavel bure was drafted but still in russia, i felt the canucks needed some more toughness. i wrote the canucks and suggested, we send the right to bure to edmonton for david hunter, a tough guy. harry neal wrote me back and thanked me for my interest in the team. that would have worse than trading neely.  i'm not that goofy kid anymore. i'm an older version of him.

Magic Joe.... Nothing better than the ability to laugh at yourself.

Great story

Not sure whos brain child it was, but the money spent on those fast cat ferries could have been useful on something else. If im not mistaken, they were sold to egypt for 1 million apiece?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_ferry_scandal

Pales in comparison as to what the Campbell/Clark Lib/Cons/Socreds did to this Province. ICBC, BC Hydro, $330M interest free loan to an offshore developer with no stipulations, to name a few. Campbell sold them to a guy named Washington for peanuts, which they are being used.
