Captain Canuck #12
I see that Karel Plasek was officially activated from LTIR on October 20th, but he's still not appearing on the Abby roster. What's happening with this guy? I think he's also officially become our International Man of Mystery.

Popular Post Attila Umbrus
Actually got time today to sit and watch a full Abby Nucks game! No kids! Lockwood was dynamite. All over the ice. The moves he pulls off at high speed is impressive as well. Add in the fact he’s getting a real nose for the net is just icing on the cake with him. He’s starting to show he deserves to be in the NHL full time. Karlsson has some defensive chops to him, not the best skater. However his awareness on ice gets him to where he needs to be a lot of the time. He’s always picking off passes and making smart plays. His net front presence is something i’ve heard about but haven’t been able to see till now. I’m looking forward to getting some more games in to see how he looks going forward. Overall very impressed with him too. The rest of the team seems to be gelling well. Not a lot of exciting prospects beyond the two mentioned. I know Klimovich is someone we are excited about, but he has a long road ahead of him for now. He needs to learn to be engaged in the play at all times, not just when he wants to. Shout out to “get some” Nielsen. He is feisty and all over the place. And he does that ALL game long. I like him as a dark horse prospect for this team. Woo, looks ok, still clunky on his decision making. Good raw physical product however. This is the first season really where he is getting regular reps on the blue line. He’s down on the depth chart but he has some time left to push past his competition and regain some of that 2nd round appeal he had to him. Also shout out to Breezer, he is a solid pro out there and looks ready to be a full time 6/7/8 dman for the club. Good win, chippy game. Keep on stacking those W’s boys! 2

What I am most impressed is how he is being conscientious in evolving his game to provide more than just offensive skills. Has tenacity and very determined work ethic that makes him a very effective forechecker. I noticed sort of like Podkolzin, how proactive he is with his stick. Getting it in passing lanes, knowing when to poke and jar the puck loose, or how to make proper stick checks. He really reminds me a lot of prime Loui Eriksson (with Boston) and Chris Higgins (Canucks). Has this very versatile skill set while having a bottom line to offer. Really like how he is progressing in this first month and a bit.
