Oh, this is a dynamite signing for Vegas.

 

Not really good enough to sub in the Top 6.  Plays his arse off, any fwd position, big and fast enough for any match up, will take any scrap (though not a great scrapper).  A very ideal bottom 6 fwd locked in for 3 years inexpensively.

He hits everything in sight as well.  Top 10 in overall hits in the league with minimal ice time says a lot about his work effort.

Is this what Motte should have accepted as a different / still similarly ideal bottom 6 weapon?

If not this than something very close to it in my view.   One would think there's a decent market for a guy like Motte and what he brings to the rink each night at his price-point,  so the question is why is he still unsigned?
