He’s all fixed up now, so we will likely see Boudreau using Hogs a lot.

(And Winnipeg has a huge pipeline of defencemen, so they would seem to be a natural trade partner)

Mikheyev did really well with Marner and Tavares - maybe Bruce tries Mikheyev-Miller-Petey? Kuzmenko-Bo-Podz would be a line I'd like to se them try as well. 1
Nucker 67
I'm assuming they're done doing anything, except maybe trading Garland. My guess. Pettersson - Miller - Boeser Kuzmenko - Horvat - Podkolzin Pearson - Lazar - Mikheyev Dickinson - Joshua - Lockwood Hoglander OEL - Severson Hughes - Schenn Rathbone - Myers Dermott - Burroughs LTIR - Ferland, Poolman

Until JTM is traded he will run Miller, Pettersson and Horvat. Mikheyev - Miller - Boeser Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Podkolkin Hoglander - Horvat - Garland Pearson - Lazar - Joshua Myers played like a top 4 D under Boudreau

It will be tough to predict what he does with his new toys. Ilya M ... he worries me ... is he as good as Hyman who TO fans loved ... i don't think so (anyways yet). Anyone who plays with some of the best in the world, their stats get a big bump. I do like his hustle...hope our pro scouting didn't sh!t the bed with that one. CHI used to pump out guys like crazy that left and became underwhelming. Anyways guess we find out. Obviously management liked Podz and is making things a little easier for him. I do too. As for your lines ... Pearson won't get bumped by Hogs. Doubt it. Garland could get bumped by Podz. Actually think Brock is going to be trade bait this year so do see him getting top minutes. His 5 x 5 time well, just sucked last year. Garlands not at all. And he's much cheaper. Bruce is the bomb so pretty sure he works with these guys and likes what he's got to work with. Much as I love Hoagie, I'd do that trade. Imagine Stanley and Myers as the shut down pair for the next 2 years!! (Move OEL to right D to partner Hughes, and Schenn looking after Bones) Stanley is a left hand shot, but did he play any right D? But if Mgmt is going to really be analytics-driven they'll tell Bruce to keep that Pearson-Horvat-Hoglander line together. Zero goals against 5 v 5 when playing as a line (sure, goals for wasn't there, but that will change in an heartbeat if Hoagie finds the target)

May also see Dickinson on the 4th line as well. We have some serious forward depth.
250Integra
Kuzmenko - Miller - Podkolzin Hoglander - Pettersson - Boeser Mikheyev - Horvat - Garland Pearson - Joshua - Lazar Dickinson / Lockwood OEL - Myers Hughes - Schenn Dermott - Poolman Burroughs My guess is Rathbone starts in the AHL unless there's a trade involving one of our D. The top three lines are interchangeable so it's almost like we three first / second lines.

Bruce has commented that there were players that lacked chemistry with teammates, so I expect he will change the lines a lot in the early part of the season. The outcome may surprise all of us. 3 hours ago, IBatch said: Ilya M ... he worries me ... is he as good as Hyman who TO fans loved ... i don't think so (anyways yet). CHI used to pump out guys like crazy that left and became underwhelming. Fortunately, I don't think Mik played a lot with TOs top 6. He made up the (3rd)shutdown line with Kampf and Engvall. If he plays in the Canucks top 6, he will score the goals. His defensive acumen, size and speed makes him a valuable player for the team. He will also improve the PK mightily. I believe he will fulfill a role on our team that has been missing for some time. Kind of a Bur without the pest. 3 hours ago, IBatch said: Anyways guess we find out. People really underestimate his overall game and great chemistry with Bo or Miller. Garland's a keeper (unless he can return a top 4 RD in a trade). DownUndaCanuck
I'd like to see Bruce roll 3 lines, we were at our best when Petey ran his own line. Garland - Pettersson - Podkolzin Kuzmenko - Miller - Mikheyev Pearson - Horvat - Boeser Joshua - Lazar - Hoglander Spoilt for choices. One of those forwards will surely be traded, moving Lockwood up and Hoglander into the top 9, but can't really lose. Bruce will move those top 9 wingers all over the place to find good combinations.
Comeback_Kings
I'd like to see a lineup something like this. Team looks solid. Mikheyev Pettersson Boeser Podkolzin Horvat Kuzmenko Pearson Miller Garland Joshua Lazar Hoglander Dickenson, Lockwood OEL Hughes Rathbone Myers Dermot Schenn Burroughs
eeeeergh
Pearson - Miller - Boeser Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Podkolkin Mikheyev - Horvat - Garland Hoglander - Lazar - Joshua Hughes- Schenn OEL - de Haan Dermott - Myers *Rathbone My guess is Poolman gets bought out, saving 1.3m in cap space, Dickinson gets bought out to save 1.7. Rathbone gets sheltered minutes this year, and is called up 1st in the event of injury. de Haan is a better partner for OEL, with far better shutdown stats than anyone on our roster (high danger scoring chances against / 60 minutes). Next year, Schenn moves on, since Dermott and de Haan can both play right or left side, a spot is opened up for Rathbone.
AK_19
Based on current roster since I don't want to speculate based on potential trades: Pearson Miller Boeser Garland Pettersson Mikheyev Podkolzin Horvat Kuzmenko Hoglander Lazar Dickenson Joshua, Lockwood Hughes Schenn OEL Myers Dermott Poolman Rathbone Burroughs Demko Macintyre

Yeah - that was my takeaway also. But conversely, any center/RW pairing performed best with Pearson as their left winger. He might be the true "unsung hero" of the Canucks
