3.36 for what!! He has done nothing but get hurt. Why the Habs gave up ramonov, Followed by giving up frank nazar for this mush brain kid in the middle of a rebuild is beyond me lol

they kind of had to make a deal like this considering what they gave up. Could be a massive steal in a couple of years.

To be a steal he has to bigtime out perform not only ramonov but also the high end potential of nazar. Dach is simply playmaker. I really don't see him doing anything. Especially on a team with 1 5ft6 shooter and zero superstars lol

Ya know...if we had a 21 year old former 3rd OA that was derailed by some injuries but could still skate like that, had that size etc.  Signed him to that contract, this forum would erupt in joy.

It's a decent little contract for a team that has a decent amount of cap space and 2-3 years left on a rebuild.

Love deal years ago Montreal give up Sergachev 24, 6'2, 220 lbs - L/ R -Dman

Now 2022 trade -  Romanov  22 - 6'1- 209 lbs -  L/R - D man

I said 3 mil when I saw the thread title. These kids are all getting decent cash on their second deal. I watched Dach a lot in junior. He's still a top notch talent, he kind of got derailed in Chicago. I'm guessing the contract turns out to be a steal for the last couple years.

It is kind of a confusing move. Personally I think they are hoping this thing turns around quickly.

Caufield, Suzuki Hoffman

Drouin Dvorak Anderson

Dadonov Monahan Gallagher

Armia Dach Byron

Evans Slafkovsky Ylonen

Never realized Suzuki, Hoffman, Drouin, Anderson, Dadonov, Monahan, Gallagher, Dach & Slafkovsky(soon) are all 3/4 liners that don't score goals.

Not exactly a plus signing. He loses the puck quite a bit if I remember right.

Yup, it's a gamble a team like Montreal can afford to take. They're not looked at as playoff competitors right now anyway, all Dach has to do is show progression and if he doesn't show enough he's still a young player on a medium length deal.

No, he hasn't earned it but they're banking on potential. And given he'll likely play with top six caliber players at least some of the time I'd be surprise if he doesn't produce enough for this contract not to hurt.
