I actually thought this was a Comedy series…turns out it’s actually a docu-series.

These two lunatics actually bought an English Football Club and are trying to make them a success.

And it’s, pretty funny at times too.

I have to admit, I’m pulling for Wrexham now. The team, and the people who live in the city.

My Grandfather was born 1898 in Wrexham and played football for the team. I'm wondering what the team was called back then.

Guess I could try wiki. He also served in the First World War.

That’s awesome.

Wrexham was known as Wrexham Olympic in 1884 and then changed in 1888. Prior to that for a year they known as Wrexham Athletic. 1882-1883 season. And then I think they were Wrexham F.C. afterwards.

The nickname currently is The Dragons.

I am Welsh (as can be seen from my longtime profile picture).  Quite honestly this whole thing by Ryan and Rob has been such a treat to see and how the entire country has embraced it.  That is no small feat as Welsh people tend to be a little suspicious and aloof from outsiders due to a whole lot of being kicked around by them.

It is an area of Wales that has a really hard time since Thatcher closed down the coal mines without any sort of plan to replace their economic activity.... think Detroit when auto manufacturing effectively went away.  It is nice to see some joy and attention coming their way.  I look forward to season 2 and the rise of Wrexham and interviews with other notable Welsh celebrities.

Loving this show too and loving the embrace by so many Welsh for a Canuck and a Yank.

I hope both those guys do well by the city, it’s people and their Supporters.

My underdog team in football.

Exactly what I was thinking seeing the destruction of the town, it’s industry and what’s happens to its High Street, and it’s Club.

Getting to know more about the people and their history of always getting the shaft makes me root for them even moreso.

This isn’t a scripted show, so we don’t know that there’s going to be a happy ending, but man am I hoping for their whole success.

Next time I go see my family in England, Wrexham is on my itenerary.

I appreciate the response to my query, I will be watching the series as well.

I have Netflix and Prime so I may have to be patient.

I have a framed picture that was my Papa's hanging in my bedroom.

It's titled "The South view of Wrexham in the county of Denbigh".

I stole this Jpeg from the net but this is the picture. My framed pic is much more aged looking.
