Interesting. For some reason, I thought he had been in the KHL for years, but he's only missed on year in the NHL. I wonder if his quick exit is a coincidence with the war going on and all.

Hmmmm...had no idea he was returning to the NHL. Could be a player the Canucks brass should pay attn to to see how his camp goes. Still think signing a C in the 1-1.5 range who can step into 3C and give Boudreau the option to load up the top-6 would be a good depth move. Was a pretty respected two-way 3C at the peak of his career, and his recent point totals aren't terrible either.

If the rumours of Sean Couturier are true that he will be missing 6-8 weeks then the Flyers need some centre depth. Not that Anismov moves the needle as a fill in. Flyers will be either way a tire fire or a wild card team. Looking like the latter.

Didn't this guy fail his PTO last summer with Chicago?? Guess he wasn't gonna be good enough for us too then... even though the attraction of an all-Russian line is pretty sexy...
