Sophomore Jinx
....and the rich just keep getting richer. This guy is a good pick up, he's more than just a reclamation project. Great potential to actually exceed expectations with the 'Lanche, as opposed to festering on piss poor teams like he has been. Ottawa, Laffs, and Yotes, and their collective turmoil and mediocrity, are enough to completely destroy any drive and initiative in a player. Could very well be the case, a lot depends on his deployment, teammate chemistry, etc. It's ultimately all up to Gal, if he brings a great attitude, I feel he could do well. I assume he’ll bring a great attitude. I just don’t think his level of play is there anymore unless he gets a free and clear offensive position without the requirements of defence and having all the opportunities to pad stats, like he did in Arizona. I don’t think he’s a fit in COL. Just my opinion based on his track record.

We'll have to see. Cheers.
Coconuts
Be interesting to see if he can turn things around with the Avs, at the very least he's good enough to be a depth guy and every team needs depth guys

He did squat with Crosby and Malkin. I’ll guess more of the same, but with MacKinnon and Landeskog this time.

If he can be a useful 4th liner on COL thats OK given he'll likely be looking at league minimum and might even start the season on waivers.

Hence his being PTO. Maybe he surprises on a team that generates offense and plays a very speedy game, maybe he's just a depth guy. Either way, depth guys have their place.

Going to see a lot more of that year to year soon on that team

That's gobbled up by Nate's deal. Then Byram, Newhook need their deals. Like CHI and TB, they will have to start dumping good support and or actual core players to make room. But agree they should be fine. They peaked though. All down hill from here lol. Just the most impressive display since maybe ANA or even pre-cap. Edit: COL should be the team to get through in the West. Much like it was in the mid 90's to early 2000's. Detroit well they were the other team. COL actually beat DET one more time at head to head play over that stretch. Edited September 21, 2022 by IBatch
