Damon Severson is on an expiring 4.2 million year deal, with UFA status projected for next summer. To Van: Severson (4.2 million) + Erik Haula (2.375) To NJD: Pearson (3.25) + Poolman (2.5) + sweetener (Hoglander or 2nd round pick, etc). I'd be willing to part with a decent package for him PROVIDED he agrees to an extension first hand. Severson played his junior hockey for 4 years in Kelowna, so I am sure he'd love to come back to BC and live here... Dickinson + Poolman + 1st 2023 for Serverson. i can cringe with the loss of any Bedard's chance, but dumping those miscast AND getting our much needed RD may worth it. Sucks to lose a 1st in a deep draft, but that is money out that is longer than 1 year and we bring in a top 4 RHD that we might be able to resign. I think NJ says no, their team is young, but not too far off starting to compete more and I doubt they want that much bad cap for multiple years.
