CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Remember that time Ottawa decided to trade Mika Zibanejad and a 2nd round pick for Derick Brassard?
Coconuts
He's a depth guy who you can sit without worrying about stalling his development, he's also no stranger to offense despite his production having tailed off with age so he's not useless with the puck. Instincts are likely still there. At under a 1M he's good value. He's also a known quantity for the Senators having had a stint with them just a few years back. He probably won't wow anyone but he won't hurt you either and there's value in that. Edited October 10, 2022 by Coconuts
cripplereh
Leadership and depth is my guess.
Sophomore Jinx
A former 6OA pick from the Q, had a decent if not underwhelming career given his DP. Played almost 1000G, could hit it this year, that is an impressive body of work in itself, but he only scored 20 goals twice. He really went downhill in the last 4 or 5 years once he turned 30/31. Dunno what OTT is expecting from him other than being a voice of experience and leadership in the room (which will be valuable to the young and up and coming Sens). Doesn't hurt at league min. I guess.
canucklehead44
16 points in 31 games and a +6 while on Philly last year. Seems like a decent pickup for the price. Mixing in guys making league minimum and are above 30% WAR seems like pretty good cap management, freeing up space for the top end players who make more of a difference. Spending $2.5+ on guys below 30% WAR is a recipe for disaster and something Benning did quite a lot Edited October 11, 2022 by canucklehead44
