Popular Post Provost
Why couldn’t we draft a few guys like this that can actually play and scare people. Instead we get a series of guys from Hordichuk to Gudbranson who talked a good game but really didn’t want to play that role. He manhandled Kassian with ease… just a rookie, wait until he gets his grown man strength. Edited October 21, 2022 by Provost 2 2
Popular Post qwijibo
He wasn’t even drafted. Just signed as an undrafted free agent. Kid is fast becoming a fan favourite. His nickname is wifi (because his name looks like a secure internet password) 1 2

Alflives
Is Kassian even known as a heavyweight? He’s not really known as a big bopper, is he?

Mustard Tiger
BEAST. Need more in the league and one on our team! Tired of seeing sticks to the face and elbows thrown all game long without retaliation 3
-AJ-
If he can actually play defense solidly in addition to being a heavyweight, that's a pretty nice package.

GB5
Good scrap but the guy's a goof though. This clip doesn't show it but he was carrying on after like he just won a Stanley Cup. Pretty silly when his team was up 3-0 at the time. Edited October 21, 2022 by GB5

How dare he show a little bit of passion after ragdolling one of the tougher guys in the league. He’s an undrafted kid living out his dream playing a regular shift on a NHL team. Not to mention it’s his 5th game. He’s also come to the defence of teammates several times in his short tenure with the team. I dunno, he's a tough customer though. 39 career fights to his name. Good for him for hanging on in the league tbh.
Guest
Heavyweight champ after beating Kassian? Hell no In fact, I don't think that he should tussle with Johnson, Lucic, Reaves, or MacDermid as it's too early for him to step up to the true heavyweights. Let the kid get comfortable in the league first.
qwijibo
He dummied one of Ottawa’s big tough rookies in the rookie tournament last month. (Zachary Massicotte, 6’4-220lbs). Ottawa fans already despise him.

Let the kid get comfortable in the league first. When Georges Laraque was 18 years old and in his first training camp with Edmonton, he said that the coach, Ron Low, wanted to keep him on the team. Laraque told him he wanted to go back to junior for one more year to improve his skills and skating. After he retired, he admitted to John Scott on his show that the real reason he wanted to go back to junior was because he was too scared to fight Dave Brown. Dave Brown retired that year and Laraque ended up in the AHL the following year. He said he was happy to play in the AHL because he didn't want to fight the heavyweights in the NHL at that time. The following year he had his first fight which was with Rob Ray. He beat the sh*t out of him and then the rest is history...
