Shame on that person. I've criticized this management pretty much from the beginning, but even I think the jersey toss is low class. It reflects badly on this fanbase. I've watched hockey for many, many years. I've seen glimpses of the bad Canucks teams in the 80's and 90s (prior to 94). I've followed other bad teams. I honestly don't remember a fanbase that has so little patience this early in the season that would throw a jersey down. This is a very spoiled fanbase. The state of this team is definitely not as bad as the other teams I mentioned. Suck it up. This has been by far the worst start of season I've seen so yeah I'd feel the same way that jersey tosser did. The team was rebuilt pretty much around 2016 with a mediocre minor league level coach Desjardins and we had to withstand losing seasons for several years, until 2019 and last year the Canucks were looking decent and then we're back to square one again with little to show for after the so called rebuild by Bennings, now they have to figure out what to fix. 2 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That'll be 10 games in. Can they go 0 for 10 in the Win column? How long before management wakes up and does something? Do they fire Bruce before they make a trade? They played inspirational hockey the last half of last season, but those days are gone. Maybe Miller isn't the great leader some thought he was. Some of our fanbase is really negative and focus there for the most part...they have constant moving targets and it's always hit the panic button. Zero patience. They get to scream the loudest during the bad times so it's almost like they embrace them (not here, in general...I mean Twitter's a good example). Hit go. Real change should have been to maximize the player's value and bolster the other parts of the roster. At what point to we accept that JB's 8 year rebuild failed. This team has had minor blips of success like the bubble and last season but they have never proved to sustain that pressure over a full season. Heck, we most likely wouldn't have even made the playoffs the bubble year if there never was the covid shut down. This core failed. We are a terrible team. We deserve a proper rebuild. I really believed when JR and PA came in, they would do things the right way and really make the Canucks a relevant, competitive team, and maybe even a contender. But I also get it, the frustration is palpable right now. The new regime came in and it felt like there was some hope for some changes but it's been a lot of the same same. We started rebuilding in 2014 without doing a full on tear down and without drafting a generational player. That usually takes a helluva lot longer without an Ovi/Sid/Matthews/McDavid type of player. We still made playoffs in 14-15 and 19-20. its not like Vancouver is getting walked all over, the games and their starts to the games have been strong and very entertaining, the 3rd period breakdowns have been heart breaking. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
