Oh look, an experienced bottom six centre on a really cheap short term deal that is good on the PK on waivers.

It is almost like you don't actually have to trade for players like that as bandaids and they are easily available for free....

Still have to wait to see if the player you think will improve your team gets to your wavier position and you have the cap to take them.
Anything resembling an nhler is claimed before the middle of the pack. Middle of the pack means you get to claim the scrapes of the scraps.
We might get a better crack at actual nhlers come Nov1st.

I'd claim him 1yr at 950k, might do more than some of the young guys. Need all the help we can and if he doesn't pan out we trade him at the deadline for a pick.

Problem being is that the Canucks are down to around 110k left in cap space.

If you want to waive someone it would be Hogs to get him top line minutes and help him develop and be the first call up for the top 6.

I think Hogs is an NHL player already, but I want him to be a really good NHLer and part of the year on a good Abby team might help that for later this year or at least long term.

No point as we got Strudnicka as the bandaid already.

Just the point that 4th line players are always available and are a dime a dozen.

Just illustrating to that poster that we do in fact have cap space to make moves like these ;)

… and honestly nothing stopping us from picking up an extra body anyways considering our injuries.  If he gets the chance to play on the 4th line regularly, that is the type of player you can flip for a 3rd/4th round pick at the deadline.

Big body defensive veteran who can play all three forward positions…. The kind of 13/14th forward a contender likes to have in their back pocket as insurance.

I like Studnicka’s game and he might be a fit here, not gonna lose my shit over a long shot prospect.
