NOTHING WRONG WITH CANUCKS ROUGH START

Canucks from what i see is younger team with lack of experience and every game they learn a little bit more..they are not getting bounces the refs have given them some bad decisions ...injuries and just bad puck luck and timing has been not great...If you make trades for just a shake up this is not the time..Canucks are few players short that are currently on roster or off for now to really get going...Can you imagine the difference in travel for them compared to eastern teams..i know its the same for the rest of the western pacific teams but i really think any given night they can beat any team...Canucks may as well just keep on track win or lose and let things unfold next season...this season is far from over i understand they have no points to show but really its a long season and time will telll...how easy is it for a hockey player to play very physical not easy..so basically canucks just need to show like they have been doing to other  teams that will go with anyone when cheap shots are dished out and the canucks too will hit any player no matter their status ...the timing of the fights need to come at proper times..the power play i think will only get better and the defence if they play hard on the forwards ..the mix and plays are just not there yet ...patience if i was manager..you know whats out there i think you develop this team slowly in order to get a great team but for now canucks just have to play good smart entertains hockey...

Canucks could he fighting for #2 in the division IF oel, myers, boeser, pearson were all traded/replaced with (at the very least) high compete players at their position***before the season started***

 

Last year the Motto line TRANSFORMED this FWD group. Canucks need to do absolutely anything they can to fill those 2 D spots.  Put in capable high compete guys like Burroughs and that back end will be transformed.  

 

Boeser and Pearson aint it for this team. Roll the dice on some  high compete/fast players and see what sticks.  I hope Lazar gets healthy and puts his work hat on. Causing turnovers HAS to be the emphasis for this team.  Adding players that can do that will no doubt help fix the PK as well IMO

A+ for positivity. 

 

While I agree that we shouldn't start making trades just for the hell of it, I sure as hell wouldn't mind shutting some of our struggling guys down that have been playing through injuries. 

 

This team hasn't had it significantly worst then any other team in the league and they are mentally fragile. Yes, lots of it has to do with inexperience but we are also lacking leadership and pushback.

This i dont agree with at all

If this was the first signs of difficulty with this team you could say have patience. they will play themselves out of this funk.

This is a veteran laden line up at this point. Horvat, Miller, Pearson, Garland, Boeser,Myers, Schenn, even Demko. This has been a disaster. They cant play smart entertaining hockey because they dont have the pieces due to being against the salary cap with the current players.

This season is not far from being over. Its worse than last year and we missed the playoffs last season also. after 50 years of watching them i am tried of wait till next season.

I drank the kool aid after last season and shame on me for believing once again that we had the team we saw for 60 games. If we could just start out 500 i thought. get a 4 game streak going. get a hot goalie. so many thoughts. This core is not solid enough to grow into a contender. Too many inconsistencies and mental mistakes.

 

I wanted Miller back. I was wrong.He would have been more value in the trade market.

I thought Demko could be  Vezina caliber goalie. so far I was wrong.

I wanted Bo as Captain. I may have been wrong here although im not sure there is/was a better option.

I was excited to see Hughes land in our laps. Maybe the other teams knew something. Like he would be a huge liability defensively.

I wanted Green fired. Bruce came in and I looked like a genius.but now i just think the smoke screen fooled me.

50+ years of watching this team, well it is starting to wear. The heart says keep watching, Every October i drag my old jerseys out of the closet. watch 82 games  hoping this will get better. When? When does it get better? 82, 94 and 2011. 0 championships and three finals appearances. Sigh I guess its better than being a leafs fan
