[Proposal] Canucks - Red Wings Bo Knows the Motor City sign and trade

Recommended Posts

Canucks trade

Bo Horvat signs a 8 year $7,000,000 NMC for the first 4 seasons

Luke Schenn

Red Wings trade

2023 1st round pick (top 3 protected)

Filip Hronek

Micheal Rassumessen

Elmer Söderblum

this how the Canucks stop being a tire fire and of course the Chairman steps down and the youngest Aquilini takes over

but one thing at a time lol

Yup.  It’s a good rebuilding trade for us.  So for FA would need to step down before management was allowed to make such a deal.

Big overpayment by Redwings. Hronek might be worth more than Horvat you can argue.

He's a young # 2/3 RD who's still an RFA after his deal. He's pretty much played top pairing minutes 4/5 years there and has come into his own last couple seasons.

If Bo were willing to sign anything resembling that he'd probably be signed by now imo

Signing that to play in Vancouver was never going to happen not after 19 games so far and how the team took care of Miller before him and how Horvat has been the Canucks best soldier but keeps getting treated badly by management and the team with horrible wingers he has been playing with until the last few seasons

I don’t think he would resign with the Canucks at all now

But Detroit is going to have to give up one of their prized young D to get scoring and scoring centres like Horvat do not grow on trees either and Detroit still has Edvinsson too and Gustav Lindstrom with Seider so it’s not like Detroit is going to fall of a cliff with this trade

I agree, I don't think he re-signs here either, I think it's just a matter of time before he's traded

But I'd be surprised if he signed at 7M with anyone that doesn't have Florida style tax benefits

I think he does this to get the NMC and be closer to home because before the season started there was a lot of talk about 8 years at $6,000,000-$6,500,000 for Bo

Ehhh, I was arguing that 7M would be fair back in like August or September but I wouldn't be surprised if the price has gone up

He could definitely get more from another team that really needs a center, or via UFA

That trade doesn't make them any better but worse and older. Lidstrom is nearly the same age as Hronek and is only averaging 14 minutes a game.

DET would probably want to add Horvat without taking anything off their NHL roster. They have the assets and cap just to take him with no cap back.

They won't trade Edvinsson he's Literally a top prospect in the entire NHL, maybe for Petey or Hughes. They have other high end LD guys like Wallinder and Johansson a notch down from Edvinsson they'd probably be more willing to move.

Yep. I remember saying sign the man. Anywhere between 7-7.5 would get it done and would be a fair deal. Now look at where we are… we should run the team ffs

It's funny, I remember folks being hellbent that 6.5-7M was too much

That sure seems silly now
