Anybody else think we should use Bear on the first unit? He’s got a rocket of a shot and is more of a shoot first player. Or at least on the 2nd unit. His goal against Buffalo was also really nice.

I would try him on the 2nd to start. After 4 snipes move him up!

Just wanna say our record this season has been awesome with Dries than not. I don't know if that's a pure coincidence but you can see his productivity so far!! He seems like a great fit!! We gotta find a way to keep him on roster!! Another great example is AJ Greer wth Boston who never got to stick in the NHL but now making a nice comeback.

I'd rather see Hoglander sent down and give him time to rediscover his offensive touch.

really? ok.

This is me holding back on you.

Like I said Martin was good last night I never disputed that. But again overall he’s been below average this season and I never denied the fact Demko have been horrendous. But to say goaltending is the reason why Martin is winning and Demko is losing is laughable. When the team have to score 5+ goals in majority of them in order to win. (Easy to say Martin wouldn’t have given up the soft goal. Just as easy as I can say maybe Martin wouldn’t made some of the saves Demko made either. )

Your last paragraph Is the second worst strawman argument , the first being Lemieux would have out paced Gretzky had he remained healthy. But that can’t be argued by virtue of the fact he NEVER remained healthy whereas gretzky DID. Both examples moot points  because in both examples neither one actually happened. Try harder.

OK, I will be fair to you.

This is circular thinking, which is a logical fallicy.

your taking the canucks record with dries in the lineup and using that trying to confirm they are a good player. But as we know hockey is a team sport. and we also know if BB thought he was such a good player he would be playing more than 4th line minutes.

He has offensive talent, but he lacks  in many area's. we are strife with offensive talent though and i would much rather have studnicka or pearson in the lineup. Dries isn't going to be taking many PK shifts for us.

He has been the best addition so far this year. He, Hughes, and Schenn are the only defensemen that should remain beyond this year.

It's funny to think how many posters here were upset we traded a 5th round pick for him. This could be one of the best low key trades the Canucks had made in a long time. Hope these posters feel foolish for their cluelessness. It really did not take much hockey knowledge to know this before Bear even played one game for the canucks:picard:
