For the very many of you "Normal" Canucks Fans that criticized JR & PA early on for signing BB6 to that extremely costly contract extension and then scratching your head and saying "WTF were they thinking' ....time has proven you correct (so far).

With a whopping Minus -14 +/- record (so far) after playing just 17 games this year, Brock is the 4th Worst +/- Player in the Entire National Hockey League out of all 766 skaters - just 3 measly points from being the absolute worst player ever this year.

Couple that with his extremely slow skating and inability to do much else other than "shoot" and it seems many of you are correct in believing he is Target #1 for an early trade.   I can now clearly see what so many of you were saying when JR made that bewildering decision.

Good Call on your part!   Hopefully we get something back when he's finally gone other than a pure salary dump.

When will management/ownership learn that signing dumb contracts and then spending assets to get rid of those contracts will doom this team to permanent mediocrity? Pittsburgh signed Guentzel to 5 years at $6m per as a 40 goal scorer and a plus player, while Vancouver signs Boeser, a 29 goal scorer and a minus player to $6.65m per for 3 years. If you can't get a good value contract, let the player sit out or walk or trade their rights. Don't sign albatross contracts that you end up just waiting to expire

So at $6.65 million you won't get anyone to take him. So what?

If he walked you'd be screaming bloody blue murder we got nothing out of him.

Boeser was a restricted free agent. If another team offered him even $6.2m they'd have to give Van a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick, and a 3rd round pick. I would only match an offer under $4.2m because that's the only price point where we wouldn't get a 1st round pick in compensation, anything higher than that, just take the pick. Otherwise let him sit out and not play until he realizes his true market value and signs for an appropriate cap hit.

Crying over spilt milk though. He's signed. Do what you can and move forward.

You have to learn from the past to improve in the future. Don't sign Boeser contracts. Don't sign Eriksson contracts. Don't trade for OEL contracts. Don't sign Beagle contracts. And on and on and on. Eventually the lesson needs to be learned.

You guys are harsh. He certainly has his faults, and hasn't got that shot back quite yet. But +/- is only one stat.

Another stat would be that he's on pace for 67.5 points - his best season ever.

Don't get me wrong - that's a bloody horrible +/-. But at least he's contributing out there.

Astute management is more important than fan opinion.  Management gets paid very well to know how best to build a contending hockey team.

I like Brock Boeser a lot as a person and, like all Canuck fans, have wanted the very best for him and for him to regain the form that made him a great rookie player for the Canucks.  Last night he played an incredibly bad game. No surprise to me that he has such a poor plus minus.  He's not getting to the places on the ice he needs to get to quickly enough to be effective offensively or defensively.  The Canucks can't keep Boeser and loose Horvat if they are serious about improving the team. Management has to find a way to move Boeser and his contract out the door before next year's season opener.  He's top of the list of bad value contracts that need to be moved out.

How many years are we going to wait for his shot to return?

Same people said the same things about how lousy Hughes was and how he needed to be traded when he had a team worst plus minus a couple of years ago.  By the way, he turned it around.

They said Hughes was terrible defensively, overrated and we needed to get rid of him.  They don't say that anymore.

Hughes is still terrible defensively.

At least he produces like a machine offensively.
