Not just the goaltending though.
If the Canucks went up 2-0 or 3-0 early, are you confident the team would keep that lead? Probably not.

But once the other team goes up by a couple goals, it's a done deal.

That's not just goaltending. That's weak mental fortitude on the whole team.

We knew the D sucks. They were bad last season too. The difference was Demko. Towards end of last season, Demko started to fade, then injured. That's why they didn't make the playoffs.

I'm not saying the team is good enough. It isn't. JR was correct when at the end of the season he said they can't rely on the goalie so much, wanted a better structure.  He failed to upgrade the D over the off season, and nux goalies are no where like last season.

Puck's right there...he just Slapcoughed it up when he saw Schenn in his windshield.

They're good enough.

I was referring to the “officials” being the “best of the best”but actually not good. We have been informed over and over how good they are. NOT!

Id rather have eriksson at 6M than Myers/Stillman. At least he was solid defensively for us and a huge part of our PK

At least all the little details would have been covered…all joking aside, it’s very true.

This team can not seem to clean up any of the little things that matter in a game…you add all those missed assignments, lost puck battles, giving up early, trying to be too pretty instead of making the safe and sure play…it all adds up to this…bloody chaos.

At no point does this team assert itself into a game and let the other team know their in for a tough one. We are so easy to discourage, we are so easy to play against…minus Schenn, he is the only beating pulse out there…i’ll give props to Petey, but the poor guy is in over his head right now, he needs some heavyness on his wing to help him out in those battles.

Canuck fans: Benning screwed us it will take years to fix what he did.

Same Canuck fans one year later: OMG why hasn’t Rutherford fixed this already.

Facts but it is pretty weird they didn’t change anything at all. It has been a year. We’ve seen every stage of a year where moves are typically made in the NHL. I just want to see some sort of direction. I don’t care what it is at this point. The fans deserve to know.

To be fair the new management group doubled down and added salary!  They could say they had no choice and hoped more players played better or at least to their salary but it actually got worse lmao.  Some of their trade chips cant even be sold for a bag of pucks we have to eat salary.

Start to wonder if this team actually enjoys playing at home anymore - scared to make errors in case fans turn on them.  They seem to freeze a lot at home and also seem to have problems against fast teams (NJ / Canadiens / Oilers etc).

With the huge Canadiens support tonight, not shocking at all it is 4-0.  See if they can get a couple back next period or will this end up 7-2
