Let's all put down our pitchforks and torches for a moment for a random memories of better times thread.

Stuff that doesn't get a lot of mention in the media but brings back great memories for you.

I'll start with a few:

- The Clapper

- The 'We Will Rise Again' cardboard sign guy

- The 'Todd Bertuzzi Song' (Spinning Around and Everybody Woozy!)

It's genuinely sad we have to look so far to the past for any level of good will and memories in this team.  But here's my take on some good moments in this org

These boys right here who became a total vibe around the league and with the Canucks

Sundin earning every gd penny of his contract scoring a heart breaking shootout goal against the Leafs to win the game IN Toronto

The Ripper.  Period.  This guy was everything Canucks and such a warrior (RIP)

Prust ensuring we don't see the nose procreate

Who can forget the Eager Flasher from the 7-3 win against the Sharts in the 2011 playoffs?

And finally.  Gino Odjick vs the entire St Louis Blues team

OH man I totally forgot about the Green Guys!!! Hell yeah, this is exactly the type of nostalgia bomb I was looking for in this thread thanks.

Honestly, the time when the newer Canucks made a magical push into the second round is a good memory for me. They pushed hard against Las Vegas who were honestly the better team. No regrets about that.

There's also these clips from Horvat & Motte:

Definitely one of my favs.

The full line brawl to start the game against calgary, followed by Torts losing his mind

That was an unreal moment. Old time hockey. The fact that Juice took the faceoff is still hilarious to me.

It's also completely insane to me that this team actually could probably benefit from a coach like Torts at this point... Love Brucey but maybe the pendulum has swung too far in the happy go lucky direction now...

Just rewatched this and it immediately made me sad that the current team has no idea what "team" means when compared to the canucks back then.

-Coach stopping at nothing to protect his star players

- Leader like Bieksa steps in to take the faceoff so Lain doesn't have to fight Westgarth on his first NHL shift ever

- Full line brawl

- Win the game

Torts even says that media and everyone else has no idea what a locker room is about.

I know this current team is awful and from my perspective its because they don't know how to be a team.

They need a good old fashion team building exercise. Like in MIGHTY DUCKS D2. Get some cowboy roping going!

There are the obvious ones but here are some of my favourites

The Brabarian!!! Forgot about that.

West Coast Express, what a great line. Remember Bertuzzi used to scream at Morrison on the bench like "you f*cked up that pass," etc etc LOL
