D-Money
There have been rumblings that Flames are interested in Boeser. To do that, they’ll have to move out some salary. One guy they probably wouldn’t mind moving is Mangiapane, who has struggled this season. My proposal is simple: Boeser to Flames for Mangiapane and a 2nd round pick. Here are some reasons why I think it might be a good fit: - Clears $850K cap room this year and the next 2 - Recoups the 2nd they lost dumping Dickinson, which management has stated they’d like to do - Mangiapane scored more goals than Boeser ever has last year, still decent chance he can be salvaged - Stylistically, Mangiapane is more of a fit for Vancouver, has more speed and defensive skills, whereas Calgary wants a shooter - Both players get a fresh start, which Boeser especially needs - Same term on both contracts, so doesn’t affect projections much Both players are having tough years. But I think long term Mangiapane has the best shot at regaining his peak form, simply due to him having far less mileage and injuries to deal with.

J-23
I don’t think the Flames would even do this 1 for 1. Maybe with Lucic.

Nucker 67
VAN would have to trade Garland. Too many small players. I'd hate to see Boeser in a Flames jersey or see the Flames benefit from the trade. How 'bout Garland for Mangiapane? Both guys are similar in stature, both are struggling this year. Trebreh
Brock for Lucic and their unprotected 1st.
Phil_314
I'd do Boeser for Zadorov plus a pick, frankly. His ability to play RD and with physicality could make for a stopgap option, and hopefully by next season they would play well enough so we could flip both him and Myers as RD's who are pending UFA's for early picks. Mustard Tiger
Yuck hes the dollar store version of cheechoo. One hit wonder. If sutter has a issue with someones 2 way play, We should damn well stay away. I would give boeser away for a 1 year capdump rather than multi years of another boeser

Mangiapane at least throws some hits 3-4x as many as Boeser this season He's also done more with less ice time Also blocks more shots Hes obviously not what youd call a physical player but hes speedy, and isnt afraid to get into tough areas
Kobayashi Maru
Wonder if it would make sense to just trade him for Lucic and a 2nd. We regain the 2nd we lost, Lucic gives us a Schenn like hit machine for the 4th line and it gives us the cap to either sign Bo or whatever we want with the cap next year. Maybe even Lucic signs a 700k type deal to give us some toughness for another year.

Not a player we need at all.

Factoring in Lucic's contract expiring they only have $1.4m in cap space next season with 19 players signed.
sockeye
To get Mangiapane for Boeser, it would probably be the Canucks giving up a draft pick.
