grandmaster
Several reports on our current home record on track to being the worst ever: https://canucksarmy.com/news/amp/vancouver-canucks-on-track-worst-home-record-franchise-history https://www.yardbarker.com/nhl/articles/amp/the_vancouver_canucks_are_on_track_for_their_worst_home_record_in_franchise_history/s1_15359_38267728 15 home games, only 5 wins and we’ve been crushed 5-1 multiple times. Games resulted in jerseys being tossed and the team booed off the ice. I don’t get it. It’s killing or has probably already killed our season. If we had just 5 more wins at home, we would be in 3rd in the Pacific right now. Why are we so bad at home?
Alflives
No Demko? He’s been unwell the whole season. He’s our most important player. BB coaches a style that goes for turnovers but gives up a lot of high danger chances too. Demko makes the difference for us in the type of game.

Yeah they sometimes don’t show on the road but they are a dramatically worse at home!

Just look at how those blown leads they had earlier in the year did to them. They are a fragile bunch. The team needs to care more about having more character and leadership in its players.
Nucker 67
IMO, I think 90% of the team knows they suck, and playing at home in front of frustrated fans adds to the pressure to win. I wish Luke Schenn could smack them all and wake them up. Team needs to start believing in themselves, but it must be tough to do knowing your captain wants out.
Popular Post Warhippy
What's happening is almost 2 decades of poor drafting, development, asset management failures and the belief that spending to the cap means "good hockey team" has created this air of who gives a **** that we've seen since about 2014 where coaches refuse to bench paid players and vets and they can give up on plays without issue. What's happening is our team SUCKS and refuses to rebuild from the foundations up 3 1

What's happening is our team SUCKS and refuses to rebuild from the foundations up This is it in a nutshell ,however I believe its been going on for a lot longer then that. I think the more talent we accumulated the more we moved away from the "Plummer" work attitude and more to the entitled atmosphere. The saying "paying your dues" has never really been a thing here for decades. Look at what has happened to Hogs and Podz. Probably two of the harder workers on the team demoted to the minors. I don't think we will see much change until we revamp the whole team from top to bottom.
