Popular Post OldFaithfulCap
Media: TV: Sportsnet Pacific Radio: Sportsnet 650 Overview As the Christmas break ends Vancouver can look ahead to a new year and new goals. They currently sit at .500 for the 3rd time this season but if they want to make the playoffs then they'll need a noticeable jump in wins. The Canucks won just 39% of their first 33 games and in order to hit the playoff marker of 98 points they'll need closer to a 59% win percentage - something like 29 wins from 58 games with a few OTL/SOL losses. That's not an easy feat but this team has shown it tends to do best when things aren't so easy for them. This is the 3rd battle of the fins between the teams this season and first in Vancouver this year (and their second in reverse retro vs reverse retro). The Canucks came back in both games and won them in Overtime. Mikheyev, Kuzmenko, Joshua and Pettersson each have scored 2 goals and Joshua had a 3rd goal disallowed in their last meeting on reverse retro vs reverse retro night. It seems likely that Martin will get the start but Delia's effort against the Oilers won't go unnoticed. San Jose comes into this game having defeated Minnesota and going 3-2 over their last 5 games.Timo Meier has scored 4 goals in his last 4 games and Erik Karlsson also scored in the win over the Wild. Reimer has returned for the Wild and we should see him in net tonight. Kunin and Couture both have 2 goals so far against the Canucks. The time for flat games at home has passed, time for the Canucks to show up and inject some holiday cheer for their hometown fans and show who is the real king of the ocean. Stats Lineups (TBC) Canucks Sharks Goaltenders Lineup news Canucks Sharks Outside of like 5 guys the sharks are trying to tank. It's embarrassing a bunch of randoms can be that good on the PK meanwhile out of the 82.5m in cap we only allocated 7.3m to a single 2 way player and our 32nd ranked pk AGAIN proves that lol. OldFaithfulCap
That's the remainder schedule and my best guess as the Canucks path to making the playoffs. Not easy. They won about 25 games last year in this time, 13 teams last year also won 29 games or more after christmas. Might make a decent prediction thread elsewhere or maybe i could major league it and have the wins cover over a photo which gets peeled off? (any suggestions).
