Ya'll are missing the point here. Only DeNiro seems to understand the implications. They said MULLER, not Mueler, or Bueler. Muller is only one letter different than MULDER, which is obviously an ode to Aliens and the Xfiles. Pettersson is a known alien. Alvin Likes Intersting Enchiladas No Salad SALAD, or in hockey terms, means HAIR. Hair = Boeser. Boeser is Millers teammate. Miller to Pittsburgh confirmed. It works because anybody named Pettersson is 6'3 170lbs (Elias, Marcus, Elias the 2nd (They even ran out of name creativity)). That's just the Pettersson clone mould. X-Files was also filmed in Vancouver, so it all lines up very very nicely. Edited March 1 by Kobayashi Maru 1
AnthonyG
36 minutes ago, ToTellTheTruth said: They did like the Canucks, hung on after their cup run trying to put a bandaid on the problems. It wasn't until 2018/19 season they started trading away vets for picks in earnest. Don't mix up when the rebuild started with trying to hang on and re-whatever to stay competitive. Even the quick tank job earlier was followed with trading for big name players. From 2017 on they had 51 draft picks, a gain of 17, they had 9 first round picks in the last 5 drafts, 3 1rst's more yet to make the team regularly. 2013 LL added 5 picks to his drafting. He also made a conditional trade with DET depending on how they did in the playoffs in 2015, NJD’s pick would be a b or c per round they get past. 2016 Stempniak out for 2 picks. They acquired quite a few picks in 2016, plus made moves to get younger roster players in hopes they could skip through some growing pains. They were working on rebuilding for longer than 5 years. If you go look back, they were constantly acquiring picks. Wether they traded down 1 first round spot to get an extra pick, or traded vets for picks. The one thing they focused on was drafting and getting as many picks as possible

BureBurrito
Could this be the deal? Morrow over Skjei and it's a major WIN. Bojan Vlacic @Bvlacic · 8m The Hurricanes have acquired LW J.T. Miller, D Jack Rathbone, and LW Nils Hoglander from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for D Brady Skjei, RW Martin Necas, C Jesperi Kotkaniemi and a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. #Canucks

combover
I think miller is staying he fits the plan to remain mediocre and have no depth and limited to no prospect Aquallinis “hope” fingers crossed last wild card spot plan is still full effect. The Mushy middle will soon be rename to simply Canucks.
ToTellTheTruth
2 hours ago, N7Nucks said: I dunno if you noticed, but we been complete ass the last few years. Likely cause we keep having dead cap on the books making it hard to build an actual team. 800k matters, especially when we'll still be feeling for almost an entire decade. Teams don't make a habit of carrying deadcap for the better part of a decade. It's why the OEL buyout idea is so moronic. And Miller absolutely should not be retained on. He is a good player worth his price tag. At least for the next 4 years. How it ages is anyone's guess. There is no guess at all. He will get older. Most, just about all humans get slower with age. So that is not a guess, it is a surety. The dead cap space I agree but then it could trun out to be his entire contract that is dead cap space if he falls off like Eriksson did and that is 8 million, not 800K, which will be 1% or less of the cap.
