4 goals usually enough to win most NHL games, but not if you give up 7.

Canucks have plenty of offense, but are woefully inadequate defensively.

And it is team defense which is the problem... and from my perspective, it is the automatic 'collapse to the net' which is one of the main culprits.

There is never any challenge to the points of the opposing team... so the puck gets passed back and forth like its a powerplay.

The Canuck forwards are so close to the net in their own zone they can't challenge... and the other team has plenty of time to find the open man.

Until the team forwards start to stay closer to the pointmen and force the opponent's to force their passes and hurry up, there will be no change.

Nailed it!

Watching this style of team defense (if you can call 7 goals against defense) is driving me batsh*t crazy.

It's not working so please change it.

The system is flawed.

The fact we are leading the league in shorthanded goals against tells you something is wrong in that department.

Lastly how can this team offer so many odd man rushes? Is that a team defense issue? A bonehead defender issue or a  lazy forward issue?

With this “team”, I can’t say that any of those are winnable games.

Hawks, but I still think it would be a close game

When you have your highest paid vets just putting in retirement time, it gets real hard to motivate the rest. With the guys the Canucks are stuck with, I can’t see why Pettersson, Demko, Hughes, Horvat and Kuzmenko would want to stay.

Best thing actual fans can do is send a message. Stop engaging with this team in any form. Season  tickets holders should inform ticket reps they don’t intend to renew next year, if that happens more and more it’ll be a clear signal of an unhappy fan base. In the past 10 years what has this team done to deserve loyalty.

unfortunatly Canucks are the only big league team in town and have monopoly over sports fans. When there’s no market Competition organisations regress.

I think JB thought he was finally fixing our d when he signed Myers and traded for OEL.

Really good d are so hard to come by. If there available Ufa then you gotta give a huge /long contract.

We really should have a policy this year to draft only d.

Can we get anything for Woo? Doesn't appear to be panning out.

Woo is playing all right this year in Abby, all of the D are. Wolanin is second overall in AHL scoring as a D and first among D’s. Abby plays with structure and everybody plays hard every night. They are far more entertaining to watch than Vancouver, even after we have taken their top forwards: Dries, Pederson and Lockwood. Podkolzin and Hoglander are getting back their confidence and working really hard every shift. It i# good for them to be there rather than in this tire fire here.

I wonder how much longer Bruce is going to stay with this team.

He must be getting absolutely sick of the lack of respect for the game.

And trying to explain away the performances of passengers like Myers, OEL, and the like.

I think we lost because Miller didn't bang his stick enough.

Not too sure when statmuse updates, Canucks are either at 9 short handed goals allowed or 10 after todays game.  More than any other team.

On the plus side, I hope everyone here jumps on the Jets bandwagon come playoff time like I will be.

Sabres here, that's one hell of an entertaining team, I hope they'll make it and will be donning their goathead jerseys in april.
