At this point, losing is made easier because there's something in that. Not for the team...I always prefer wins for their sake (well, and mine...I still enjoy them even though they likely do more harm than good at this point). Still behind this team because it's what we have in the moment. I like the players and want them to succeed. Petey in particular, who is growing tired of losing and that spells trouble for us. There's more to just the dream of draft picks involved here. Some of our players are being grated down and wins help their psyche so that's also important. I mean, if we get a high pick but lose Petey that's quite a trade off. Go Canucks....still cheering for wins (they're more fun) but losses have a softer landing knowing this draft is pretty stacked. And the games have been entertaining...I do love that we can score goals now. Remember the droughts when they were hard to come by? Boring. I'll just ride out the season and see what develops. I don't get any satisfaction from standing under the black cloud that's over this team right now....negativity isn't fun so I'm opting out of that end of things. So much of it (but I get it, it's just not for me). Agree. If I have to choose between a 6-4 loss vs 2-0 loss, I'd choose 5-4 loss every day. At least the games are interesting. Even when we are down 2-0, I know this team can score a few to make it interesting. Having said that, I expect a loss tonight. Hoping Bo continues scoring and Petey to finally get a PP goal.

I really want to be positive and you are right it is just a game and besides what I write on here, I take it as that, it doesn't faze me one way or the other. I just have a tough time with the way this organization refuses to do things properly and wants us to just accept their unproductive way of trying to build a team. It just seems we are on repeat and they say let's try again when it clear they shouldn't. I love Petey, Hughes, and Demko, I hope Petet becomes the captain. There is going to be some big decisions coming up and we will just wait and see where they go. I just hope they stop trying what hasn't worked. It's like banging your head against the wall. Stop already. It is in the end as you say just a game. Edited January 14 by Canuckfanforlife82
OldFaithfulCap
I finally am committed to learning photoshop better. Still getting better with the clone tool and removing non-linear lines but I did my best to amend some online jersey photos and then i used a custom canucks font to add the numbers and names and used the tracking effect to try and get the names to look right on a jersey -OEL is hell! Anyway nicer consistent graphics for the Canucks, will work on their home jerseys next (then alternates?) and then may or may not get around to the other team. Anyway added nicer graphics to 1st post. Edited January 14 by OldFaithfulCap x 1

I doubt he’s the coach when the Canucks come home regardless. team needs a scapegoat for the massive level of incompetence and total disaster this circus of stupid has been. The root of the issues remains - sell the team. Say hellyeo to new coach yeo. hope they extend him and fire him to. the more money FA wastes the happier I feel. fingers crossed lots of buyouts coming. When Bruce is gone we’ll have two coaches being paid not to be here lol. The Vancouver paid holidays. This game Has a blow out feel to it. I'm not sure they have anyone in this organization that can quell the situational malfunctions that are aiding in making this team and how it's run, look bush league. It's all fine and dandy to say, "Tank for Bedard", and hey, we may end up with him yet but though all this, you don't want to lose your best player, Pettersson. He's frustrated now. Needs to see a path that makes sense. If they do let Boudreau walk, and I think they do at any moment, get the right guy in place now, not later. Just putting Mike Yeo in his place is nonsense. Don't mind saying that at this point, I can't see much of a direction from Rutherford and Alvin.

I really think they need to hire someone new and have them not be connected to all the losing and bad habits. They let him bring in his own assistant coaches. One constant has been Jason King and obviously Mike Yeo's defensive system is awful. Why would you bring those two back? Might as well wait until the end of the season and clean house on all coaches. Rabbit
Agreed that Mike Yeo is not a right person in the current situation. See what the management team do next step.

Even if we ignore the lack of clear direction, the overvaluing of players, inability to move roster player and the continued trading off of pics and prospects during what should be a rebuild, we have been a mess from a PR perspective. ‘The allegations against FA in camp (outside of management control but still bad look) ‘Rachel Dorrie mess the almost scratch of BB on hockey fights cancer night. Tanner Pearson JR constantly attacking the coach, and inexplicably keeps advertising he didn’t know he had a 2 year contract. JR constantly saying how the team isn’t good enough publicly. JR waxing poetic to the Pittsburgh media how he should have retired a Penguin. The list is growing every day and I probably forgot a couple things. I think there is fair argument that we have one of if not the worst run clubs out there. Add to that we have been following the lead of the Ballard Leafs, middling team that constantly thinks all they need is just one more UFA to be competitive. J.T. is a center- nope J.T. is not a center. Injury reports- gone for a couple of days turns into weeks- not just for Pearson. Injury reports gone for a couple of days becomes weeks- but then becomes days. Team meetings, followed by team meetings. Juice comes in for a visit, builds up the team. They keep losing. Rachel Doerrie- and what ever is up there. Weird benching- Garland, Kuz,- the already mentioned attempt to bench Brock- on Cancer night-really who the hell writes this stuff? Now OEL. Yet Miller still plays every game. Anyone else feel free to continue..........

grandmaster
Seems the consensus number 2 draft pick so far is that Fantilli kid. Pretty good consolation prize if we could win the 2nd lottery pick. He is a centre as well. If we have to draft a forward, this is the more important position.
