Canuckfanforlife82
Is there any reason to not sit Bo Horvat? I think it's pretty stupid to risk him potentially getting hurt by playing him and for what? It follows suit with what the management has done so far but why aren't they? King Heffy
Don't be surprised to see Horvat request precisely this.
Canuckfanforlife82
It would be just our luck to have him get injured. 1 1
NUCKER67
I wish. If Bo Horvat gets injured before they trade him, it would ruin everything. Yep, sit the guy who wants out.
Provost
They need to be close to a deal and just waiting for the final suitors to up their offers. Otherwise, the leverage moves away from us as we can't sit him for a long time and they will know a trade has to be done quickly. They need to pull the trigger pretty quickly as he does risk getting injured. Trying to wrangle an extra 3rd round pick is a big risk as you could lose everything. We can also start off the deadline arms race and try to move our other players to teams trying to keep up with whoever gets Bo. Miller, Boeser, and Garland are also players that can help teams. 2

I agree, It is like watching Wheel of Fortune, with the answer puzzle obvious and plus winning the trip (and most likely going to the final prize), you risk it all for a $450 spin and instead land on bankrupt Greed is costly, if you have a fair deal, take it before it is gone Edited January 24 by Ballisticsports.
Fanuck
And what happens if they don't get a trade done? Or worse, what happens if he gets hurt at the ASG?
jyu
If the trade is imminent, yes. But my feeling is that no trade is imminent at this point. I think the trade talk will pick up after the all stars.
Mustard Tiger
Nah we don't need to be pressure into a deal and get fleeced. But I'd do a deal real soon
RolexSub
Mgmt needs to trade him ASAP to get top returns. The longer we wait, the less return we will get for him. Agree they should sit him out until the trade happens. So we can also tank for Bedard!!! Win Win situation.

ToTellTheTruth
He won't be traded now, there is no way Allvin will crippled his coach, likely no trades at all or of little significance 8 years, 9.5 million with a NMC If Horvat wants to stay, Trocchet has 3 months until draft day when the Canucks trade his rights a week before draft day for a 4th round pick. 1

CanuckFan1123
Bo sitting would make our horribly run season even worse. We’re sending a message to the fans that we are still trying to keep Bo and sign him if we can. Maybe a trade is inevitable and potentially imminent, but why even potentially damage and tarnish our relationship with our captain. Plus that would send an awful message to the rest of the players. “Hey, we might trade this guy within a month, but we’re not going to let him play because he could be traded.” Hopefully he doesn’t get hurt, but this is a really dumb idea. Well I guess letting him potentially get hurt for the season is smart. I meant if they are that close. They aren't signing him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out!
