Gonchar could help develop Hughes game quite a bit.

 

I don't know about Tocchet but I do like Gonchar hiring and look forward to seeing what he can do.

There were other options out there - Andrew Brunette not far off Jack Adams worthiness, Trotz who won't come here, Tippett if he wants the job and heck AV even...

 

All are solid defensive coaches, I hope they did their diligence. Sounds like Tocchet is a player's coach which would be nice for this broken disheartened team.

I'm going to keep beating the Abby drum because they are well coached and playing some really great hockey, with big contributions from young Canuck prospects.  It's certainly made me feel better about the future watching podz, hogz, aman, woo, bains, silovs, klim being impact players........podz and hogz especially

Because Quinn was involved in the start of the Giants franchise. And I get to see tomorrow's players. I might need a break from the Canucks for a while.
