Oh, so you kind of wish I'd shut my mouth and get things over with by leaving?  Really grinding your gears eh?

There are many people on this board who also are displeased with MGMT myself included. Your tirade is detrimental to the conversation.

Im looking at the org and coaching staff as a whole

Benefit:

Podz - Tocchet type player

Lockwood -potential PK specialist

Studnicka - will be given every opportunity to showcase his speed and grit.

Petey  - id put him in this list no matter who the coach is

Boeser - hear me out here.  imagine the common Brock situation where he goes into a corner, gives the d man a gentle swipe, 10 seconds later the whistle blows and he has a laugh with the d man and the opposing goalie in the crease.  Brock goes into dressing room where Tocchet and Foote are waiting and they tear a strip off him.  I think those two guys can grill the friendliness out of brock.

Have a hard time:

Miller - lots of head clashes coming up.  Tocchet doesnt seem like the type of guy that will tolerate the melt downs and how Miller gives up on plays.

Myers - I dont think Myers is physically or mentally capable of playing a top 4 role and this will lead to issues.

It's pretty cool seeing these guys in Canuck colours. I know I hated Foote so much growing up in his time with the Avs lol.

Look at Foote, already beating up on Boeser  Looks like he's going to ram the buttend of that stick into Brock's breadbasket

What kinds of players will they be targeting? Will they go after Fabian Lysell like some think? Does he play a gritty game? Or a guy like Newhook? Or are players like this on the smallish side for their liking? I heard Dhaliwal mention Carlo today. Would love for the Canucks to get bigger and tougher.

Literally no one will do well under this convict.  This dirtbag is worse than Keenan and the team has too much character to give him any respect.

Common now.

Looks like the depth wingers will do well with his balanced approach.

Agree on Myers and OEL as well as long as they play on different pairings.

The miller lines overall size + defensive acumen terrifies me

One of the reasons I am not crazy about collegiate hockey is the lack of games compared to the CHL. Boeser didn't get enough tough games IMO.

Garland did not work well with Boudreau, so maybe he'll be better with Tocchet for some reason. Aside from that, I'd guess maybe defensive-minded players might get more ice time and thrive. Unfortunately, I expect a one-dimensional nice guy like Boeser will struggle with an old school tough guy like Tocchet. Myers should do well.

Good stuff thanks.

On the Boeser bit: I dislike this part of Brock and always have.  When "Titties" was here, he said (on miked up) You and me Brock, we're the only Beauties on this team."  I know, the Beauty League etc, but I don't like this type of stuff as time goes on; leave it behind, or for the summer; like then Toffoli went to Calgary and there was another soft check, etc.  I don't like that shit on the ice.  In fact, I don't really like any of it off the ice during the season and (dare I say it) the playoffs either.  Brock is definitely under the gun.

Garland said himself he's excited since Tocchett  was huge in him breaking into the NHL and finding success. So ya expecting a big bump in Garlands trade value and playoff not by the year end then next season if he's still a Canuck.

I want to see how Miller performs. Whether we like it or not, he’s going to be here for the next 5-7 years and will be playing center. He’s going to have to take on Horvat duties and he’s going to need to elevate his play.

Unless we somehow get Bedard, he will also most likely be the next captain. It will be interesting to see how Miller takes on the added responsibility once Horvat is officially traded. Guys are going to lean on him for support, he’s going to have to be that guy for them. I have my doubts though. He doesn’t have to be likeable but he sure as hell needs to be bearable.

I do think Boeser has played a little more gritty this season, he seems to skate hard to retrieve pucks (still doesn't battle all that well though), but his offensive production has fallen off big time.  I'm okay if Boeser doesn't score 30+ goals. If he can pot 25 and play a gritty, fast game, then I'd be happy with that.

I have not given up on Miller being traded while we still can.
