That might in fact happen as we apparentl have the 3rd easist schedule down the stretch!

Not to mention we likely see a bunch of backup goalies down the stretch while the #1’s are rested.

Tonight we’re gonna need Delia to play the part of Luongo and Kane to play the part of 2010 Patrick Kane.

Unfortunately I don’t see us losing to them. Their D is even worse than ours and their forwards suck.

I believe they have won 6 out of their last 8.  There is still hope!

This is great actually, if things go well the fans can immediately move from "Bruce, There It Is!" to "Tochetmannnnnn, burning out his fuel out heereee alooooone"

Gives new meaning to the lyrics, "And I think it's gonna be a long long time..."

I don't get why they want to sign Horvat for this team, the way it is constructed now. TSN is reporting they are taking one final shot. Ok so you're doubling down on a roster that doesn't work. Brilliant work. It makes no sense. I almost have no faith left in the entire organization. Such a joke. The direction of less than mediocre. So your

keeping all your trade chips and are going to improve the team how?

Catch 22 for me.

Wanting them to win for decades and they lose.
Now hoping for tank deployment and just watch … they’ll win.

Not one smart person can come in and change things? Same terrible plan over and over. People must get infected with something when they fly into Vancouver.

Confused. Hire a new coach with a losing record, criminal record for gambling, punted from NHL and then reinstated 9 months later by Bettman.

Before I saw Tock-It on the news the other night, I never saw him up close and actually speaking but after that news conference my first impression of him is that he reminds me of that guy in "CRANK"    Jason Statham, right, demands a jolt from Glenn Howerton in “Crank.”image.jpeg.8481354ba6f7b9ebe500e577876f60df.jpeg

What worries me, is doesn't management see the problems already??? You need a coach to tell you what is wrong?

Fall guy.
They need yet another new coach (scapegoat) in place before any changes are made.
If things improve they’re hero’s.
If it fails they blame and fire the coach.
Revolving door.

You should post that prediction in the PREDICT A SCORE thread.    You never know, you might win top prize!

(P.S. Let me know what it is)

We are at the same place as last year with no progress made. In fact it's worse and again they need a new coach to come in and give them an unwanted bump. I still don't get the plan for the rest of the year. Get higher in the standings for a worse pick. At least get a good pick if you suck this year. Now they might not even do that. Groundhog Day.

I think Tocchet will do wonders for this team. We're lazy, poor habited, have barely been held accountable, and quite frankly - broken. Tocchet is going to build a complete team with good habits out of this disaster.

I'm not worried about the tank/winning games because I think lots of players on this team are going to get "cut" because they can't fit into Tocchet's system and aren't willing to make the sacrifices needed to be a winner. There is too much 'fluff' on this team to be a winner. I also like how Tocchet mentioned hockey IQ and quickness can put you on top. Too many poor decision makers on this team, and we're about to see who just has poor habits and who actually just sucks.

Someone posted earlier about this being a "terrible time for a coaching change", but I disagree. It's the perfect time for the new coaching staff to assess what works and what doesn't. Just enough time before the TDL to move some players who don't fit, and enough time for the guys who will be staying to learn new systems and what the expectations will be going forward.

This is chapter one of a new book for this team.

I'd trust Jason coaching a lot more than Rick.

Yeah, it's called "Aqualini syndrome." You come here and you're whipped if you say "rebuild" or "build properly" or "maybe we should draft defense" or "we have a lot of small wingers." Don't even suggest adding draft picks. I am pretty sure Aqualini breaks out in hives at the notion of adding picks.

Too soon. This coaching change should have been held for a couple weeks before the TDL.  We now have a team that can make a run and blow this whole drafting opportunity into garbage. There is no way we are making the playoffs. Terrible timing
