The way Brett Hull stood up for Dale Hawerchuk against Mike Keenan on the Blues is a story that always stuck with me. Someone said in the thread that Bobby's goal total would be more like Brett's if he hadn't gone to the WHA. I think he would have surpassed Brett's total. Bobby scored just over 300 WHA goals...only needed 140 NHL ones to match Brett. Bobby scored 50 in his last NHL season right before going to the WHA. I figure he had at least 200 NHL goals left in him. He would probably have retired ahead of Gordie in the #1 spot (though Gordie added to his NHL totals with many WHA goals and points as well).
