True, but if we trade Brock for anything and have Beau in his place, we just saved a bunch of cap and added some quickness with a guy who can also PK. This is a big upgrade over Brock.

Beauvillier is a much more useful and dynamic player than Brock. Also costs less = win. He's better defensively, kills penalties, much faster, harder on the puck. People need to get past point totals only. I'm not saying Beau is amazing, but he's more useful on this roster than Brock is. Brock will be traded so we'll essentially have a more useful player for $2m less. I don't see the issue with that. In fact, if they do plan on essentially swapping Brock for Beau it's a pretty keen move.

Starting to get really excited about the prospects in Abby ... Raty, Klimovich, Karlsson, Aman, Podz, Hogs, Rathbone, Silovs ... and those in this year's draft. We finally have a shot at developing these guys the right way without rushing anyone.

If there's anything I like about Allvin & Co., they do seem committed to developing the right way.

We're finally becoming arshdeep in decent talent.

Oh man, I hope that doesn't become the running joke around here.  It would seriously be the bains of my existence.

Yeah we need to build a balanced roster.  We NEED guys like this to make things work.  Having a bunch of talent is useless if it doesn't all fit together.  It's pretty obvious.

So he is the anti Brock?

Does he have better hair?  Allvin thinks he’s Italian. Calls him Antonio. It was the only way Aquilini would approve the trade really.

Facts. The NYI aren't contenders nor will they be in the coming years.

Bo wanted money.

The end.

It appears that way, and I’m glad management held the line and traded him. It sends a message to other players’ agents going forward

This... if he shows to be a good PK, its a huge upgrade on Brock... Team needs PK'ers badly....

Not even close.  He can skate, isnt soft and is excellent on the forecheck.

5’10 180

career ppg .45

.40 this season

to bad he doesn’t score

he’s a third/ fourth line checker

He more like a slightly bigger garland.

Motte style

I’d prefer size in that roll the bumble bee bouncing off players like highmore isn’t all that effective.

brock career ppg .78

.73 this season

you always mention Brock’s skating yet somehow he beats miller back to play in the D zone.
brock is a top six player.
He’s injury prone and needs a fresh start.

really doesn’t matter AB is here and brock will be gone before the TDL.

Then Our top six will be even more pathetic

kuz ep mill that’s it.

lol

top 4 draft pick level bad.

that is nothing close to resembling the truth.... Beauvillier can play hockey with the best of them.... brock can play the PP with the best of them

Funny, cause only 6 of his 30 points are on the PP. He's not on the first unit anymore. Hasn't for a while. Do you watch the games?

It's funny how people bring up Brocks contract not being as bad as it is vs his production but AB is a problem when it expires in 2024.

That's the thing though...If Beauvillier finds his game again then great, if not...re-sign him at a lower number or trade him next year/contract year. Either way he's a more useful player than Brock and costs $2m less so if he's a replacement for Brock then they did a good job actually. Beauvillier isn't as one dimensional as Brock.

More complete player, his contract expires just before the new deal for Petey will kick in. Allvin gets the deal done early, leaves him plenty of time to decide what he wants to do at the trade deadline, I expect he will be busy.

Not sure if your quitting on the management group and the owner helps the team at all.
