Not much doubt that it is Petey's team now. Still hoping Miller gets moved as well.

IMO one of the issues PA has had to deal with is the trade history of the Canucks. My impression was that other GM's thought that if they played the deals out down to the wire that they would get a better deal. PA pulled the trigger on this one and appears to be decent enough value. My hope is that Bo will only score enough to keep the NYI in #13 draft spot. Didn't Trotz walk away from his coaching job there? Lou is known for his 'opinions'. The Isles have struggled ever since Trotz left. Maybe even before?

Spot on...

this will also keep other GMs guessing in the future, thus probably being more forth coming.

Sam... We'll see soon enough what Miller's influence on the team going forward will be.  It will be either really positive or really negative.  Bo's absents will bring to light what's happening.

The absence plaguing us is Demkos.

This is an issue.      If he is not back by the end of Feb ..   ??

these are the issues :

Boeser,  Myers, Demko, Stillman Pearson .

Yeah...

Then imagine Bo twisting an ankle and not being able to play until preseason....

Fat chance of flipping him then...

People keep talking about Bo getting injured and costing us the trade, he's lost like 30-40 games to injury in the last 9 years. Chances of him having a season ending injury were pretty low but I get the panic.

If he did cop a nasty injury though I wonder if we could have negotiated a much cheaper deal, surely he'd be forced to take Allvin's initial offer (it was probably around 7.5M)?

Deflect away from your initial point, likely cause it was you talking out your ass. Very nice. Yes, he has 9 goals. He's struggled to put the puck in the net. But he's far from this trash bag player you all claim him to be. And I don't know if you know this, but it's been reported that there is a lot of interest in Boeser. Trades don't just fall outta the sky like you wish they did. This thing called cap exists. Is he worth his 6.6mil. No, but he has talent and he plays hard. I'd take him at 6mil everyday of the week.

He got squeezed outta the top PP, and still managed to keep his point production around where it's been his whole career. If he succeeds on the PP, you'll just say he's coasting on Miller and Petey. Now that he's producing off the PP, you make up BS like it's all secondary assists, when it isn't so you just ignored that pushback when I actually gave you facts. Now you're cooking him for putting up .64 points per game without the top PP. Keep moving the goal posts bud.

Can't kill penalties, but I don't know if you're paying attention but our team is historically bad on the PK. Nobody on this team can kill penalties. But you're gonna go around jerking off Petey like he's a god two way player I bet. Facts don't matter here. Personal feelings do. You hate the guy, you'll move goal posts around to push this narrative. When you get hit with facts, you'll just ignore them. I am just gonna ignore you man. I can't deal with people like you.

Boeser sucks.    I wanted them to let him go free and sign Zadorov .

Kuzmenko,  it was easy to see he could replace Boeser from watching his skating in the KHL.

Pettersson is our best player but I don’t feel he has the personality to deal with the media as much as a Captain is required to do. Bo  handled it and  Henrik was exceptional at it , it takes the right personality to deal with that especially after losses.
You can see Petey hates dealing with it now  I don’t think he’d want more of that.

I agree. Keep him out of that spotlight and let him quietly go about his business. He does enough without having this burden placed on him.

Honestly, I also wanted them to let him go. Especially if they were going to sign another winger in Mikheyev. But I am not gonna pretend like he's ass. Management dropped the ball, but Boeser gets all the heat. The hate doesn't even make sense and is misdirected at Boeser when it shouldn't be. They signed him to a three year deal not even a year ago and are trying to shop him. That's bootleg af.

Im intrigued by Beauvillier.  I can see a team building strategy of fast competent 2 way wingers to compliment JT / help him in the D zone.  With Tocchet implementing a detail oriented system, it could help get the most out of Miller

Didn’t realize Bo’s agent represents a lot of Isles players.

Pat Morris represents Bailey, Cizakas, Martin, and Clutterbuck.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that factored in for Lou. Clearly he’s done a lot of business with Bo’s agent. Should help in negotiations.

Yep. He’s the ‘leader’ on the team but agree that he would do better going about his business and focus on that without having to deal with all the other stuff

Schenn is a Captain personality but likely won’t be here for any length of time.

I didn't ignore what you said and wasn't deflecting from your original point.  To me, it doesn't make a difference whether 50% of his assists were primary or secondary because Boeser is being paid to be a goal scorer.  If you think he is still being effective collecting primary assists then that's fine, we have a difference of opinion on that.

He got squeezed out of the top PP?  That's a stretch IMO.  I think he got beat out by a better goal scorer who's in his rookie season and is already on pace for 35 goals.  Kuzmenko drives play and can score even when he's playing on the 3rd line with AHL players.  If you think Brock is still producing off of the first PP then that's fine, I look at his production from a goal scoring point of view, which quite frankly is what we've been looking at with Brock for the last 6 years.  I don't recall anyone over the last 6 years saying that Brock is a great set up man and has this well rounded game.  I always saw him as the trigger guy, which is what most people talked about in regards to Brock.

I don't see the shot that Brock used to have.  I don't see the skating either.  I have watched video of Brock when he was a rookie and he is a completely different player now.  He basically has had to reinvent his game, because he doesn't have that deadly one timer anymore and his skating has regressed.  Most likely that is the reason why he is trying to be more of that set up man than in past years.

In any event, we have a difference of opinion on Brock, and that is fine.  I didn't mean to be a dick in my last post, so I apologize for that.  Cheers...
