That's not really hate. Just someone who doesn't want Pearson on the team.

I don't see how 0 Pearson's helps the team when he's responsible defensively, chips in offensively and really isn't overpaid for everything he brings. He stands up for teammates, has playoff experience etc. He gets unwarranted negativity at the very least.

Bo has been on the market for months. I think the bidding was bidded. It's like a stock. You can hold to the last moment but if the market floods or turns, your value is diminished.

I think that's a rather simplistic view.  Lots of teams are strapped for cap and the closer we get to the deadline, the more their cap flexibility opens up (especially if we retain 50%).

Yes, you can certainly wait too long and price yourself out of the market but I think they artificially limited the market by being stubborn on the package they wanted back.

It is what it is. He's probably not too happy with Bo being traded.

You do see how many forwards are potentially up for trade this deadline right?

Phew... he didn't go to Boston.... yet.  And that's how long it takes to get over the king and the beat up from bossy, cause I'm fine with it being the islanders.

What a week.

Ruthlessford.

Knew Bo was in trouble as soon as he started he liked the player...

So... through cough possible cough combination of inept management and impatient ownership which continues to leave the fanbase underwhelmed with asset management our Captain Bo is

gone.

Not that I'd want us to resign him at his value now of  course... rather have taken a different direction pre Miller... OEL, Tanev...really since Linden was around but hindsights 20/20 so is said.

The return from Bo is hopeful... but unproven...

other than Tony...

and we all are crossing our fingers for Raw-too...

Our deficiencies on our back end are still so apparent, and although the pick may be used to get a dman, it's going to be years for them to become relevant.  As I suspect we're not getting Quinn Hughes at 13th right?  The ghost of Luc always comes to mind RIP...

Canuck luck.

If Bo resigns in NYI, we'll have to see at what timeframe and price, or gets traded again from Shady Lou (tramautized that we're dealing with that guy cause hes won and built seen alot of hockey)

then we will have more of an idea how this works out.

If injury or Bo goes to Free Agency... well sure we saw what happened with Johnny Hockey so phew dodged such a  bullet there ---

->  Well then we're massive winners and nevertheless should be excited to move forward and watch this ship really start taking on water in a hurry...

Hey Rocket, hold this anchor... Thanks Jim.

Surgery... yeezus it's like ripping out the heart ala Kano in Mortal Kombat.

Wonder if Aqua figures out he can nosedive like this without spending to the cap.

Yeah I get it, we're in this craphole, and apparently we at least got this from it... but I can't help being so upset for the captain to have steered us Into the event horizon... it like i see jr - dont worry I'm a limo driver...

Yay let's retain and take another winger...

Although that's a winger off the table to assist a Boeser move... yeah we're dumping on boeser...

Qualifying offer of 7 right?

Hopefully the transformation continues although I don't see how positive it can be with oel and Miller's deals remaining.

Agree that we maximized the first rounder, did not see Bo going to a team unless they were firmly situated for a deep run.

I think I'd like the pick this year due to the depth of the draft.

Not sure how NYI will do next year... around top 10 pick at best perhaps.

Not counting out a Ruthless move for Bedard, having that 2nd pick takes us closer.  I actually don't want him, rather have size, grit and speed silly ol me.

Bye Bo, excellent job in Vancouver having to come from the Twins lead, tough act to follow up without the aggressiveness factor...

Schenn perhaps next sigh...

Another warrior lost.

If they move Miller and OEL out... I'm dreaming.

Think these picks will last in Jim's hands?

I do and we will see if other comparable players get considerably more return.  I've seen some pretty big deadline packages.

The fact that Bo wasn't permitted to talk extensions with other teams also likely limited his market.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the Islanders flipped him for a higher return if their posteason fortunes don't improve and he isn't open to resigning.

Stubborn? We got what looks to be a very high first that a top contender wouldn't have to offer. A real good center prospect. The cap dump will most likely be part of any deal. What are you expecting?

The fact that Bo wasn't allowed to talk extension may have boosted his value. If he wants too much, he prices himself out of the market for some teams. That's why JR didn't allow it.

I was expecting this:

Report from Elliott Friedman.  Bo Horvat is officially on the Market.  Canucks will trade him to the highest bidder.  They will take the best package available.  They are willing to take back salary to facilitate the trade.  Currently there are 12 teams interested in him and _____ are considered to be the front runners....

Beauviller,

great skater , smart, good stick handler..

and a pin point shot.

This is a good grab,  allows for Garland, Boeser to be moved for picks.

Thing about AB is he has thrived in high pressure games.

Stylistically he was a play driver in the playoffs and really stood out for them.

He also played his best games vs NYR and MTL.

Think it says a lot about him.

I understand his finishing has been inconsistent but so was Mikehyevs  before coming here and he fits in pretty well even while injured.

Our management group likes complimentary wingers with wheels I like the idea of having a Mik and a AB in the top 9 and hope he compliments Miller well and he helps out on the PK and finds som consistency with our players and our coaching staff.

I like him more than Garland.

Now if only we would have kept our pick (Guenther) and not traded for OEL.

Damn.

Ya this trade is killing us. Be curious what happens with OEL and garland from now to Training Camp.
