First, they could get some draft picks. Second, if they could clear space, they could weaponize that for more picks. And then we have no vet presence , and a bantam hockey team in the NHL.

It's a deep draft and a pick like 13 is like a #7 next year. That being said I wouldn't mind betting against the islander next year. Yup, scouting reports indicate that there are some decent Dman from this year's #13 to around #20. Imagine drafting a franchise forward (BEDARD!) + a good Dman this year...oh my.

The ownership has to go to the puck carrier who skates with his head down watching the puck come off his stick only to watch it go where he sent it. Teaching the game is supposed to be by handling and passing with your head and eyes up , using only your pereferal vision to see the puck. Why not just take physical contact out if you can’t line up a hit and commit yourself to it. you can clearly see both heads snap back... it doesnt matter if you start contact with the shoulder... if you follow through and up into the head it is still a head shot... Herberts Vasiljevs
We can speculate about what deals will be coming next, but at the end of the day, I think that this particular trade signals the start of what we should have done a long time ago. That is, to add more elite prospects and top-end picks to the pipeline, aka a proper "re-tool" (I don't care for the semantics). And speaking of what moves may come next, one would have to think that they will be chiefly future oriented as well. Despite the circumstances leading up to all of this, I like what I'm seeing! 1 2

No. Now the term principal contact is used. That is when you tag the head only, and or first . Those were not . All hits usually end up involving some trauma to the head.. it’s inevitable. If you want to protect the head , keep it up, pay attention with and without the puck.. or simply take hitting out of the game.

Popular Post Elias Pettersson
So, according to Frank Seravalli, Pat Morris and Lou are already working out a deal. It is going to be in the 8x8 to 8.5x8 range. If that is the case, then thanks God we didn't re-sign Horvat. Imagine paying him between $64-68 million. That's batsh*t crazy. Good luck Lou, you are gonna need it. As well, according to Satiar Shah, NY Islanders have the option to send the pick to Vancouver even if it's below 13. They will just wait until after the lottery to decide. So, it's possible we can get the 9th, 10th or 11th pick in this draft. Lou may just want to give us the pick this year as he may not be around after next year if the Islanders are not a playoff team and also the 2024 pick would be unprotected, so there is the possibility that it's a lottery pick which leaves the door open for the Canucks to win the lottery and get the #1 overall pick. In thinking about this, it may actually be better if Lou defers the pick to next year. This trade could end up similar to the Duchene trade where Colorado got the # 4 overall pick and drafted Bowen Byram... 3 1 4

Nothing wrong with Silvos. not a great situation but. Trading Demko, if that’s where this is going, that will happen this deadline. Might get a juicy D prospect and a pick. There is no need for Miller to move.…. But many here think we are in a total rebuild.… and we’re not. They are moving soft and weak. 1
